how do you make good holding breaks for launches, for example, on rockin roller coaster, you go around a corner then the breaks hold you for a few seconds before the launch..
1. double click the brakesegment.
2. click "complete stop" (top left corner)
3. under, there's a box for "stop-wait time"
4. choose how long you want the brakes to hold the train
(p.s: you'll also have to enable transport device for that brakesegment too)[:D]
-Double click brake segment
-click complete stop
-enter time
-make sure that enable transport device is on
-choose a speed which is much slower than launch (i.e. Transport- 5mph Launch 60mph)
-Select launch
-Enter your launch g force (equal to your actual launch)
-Make sure your trigger is set to Front car
-Move the arrow close to the right line but not to close (seg end)
-Hit OK
I'm not sure if this is what you mean but here's my brake/launch method that may help:
First do everything that coasterking said, which you already have down apparently.
Then you need to move the position that the train stops at further up along the brakes. You need the train to stop in such a way that the very front of the train is on the launch segment. There's a slider in the Brakes Properties that adjusts the position. This way the launch will start as soon as the brakes release. If you just have the train do a complete stop, it'll stop and then slowly move forward into the launch section.
If the train gets pulled off the brakes, move the position back until it works as desired.
it wasn't working for me either, it kept stopping then instantly going again, its cause i was on shuttle mode to make sure the coaster would get round the track, i pressed connect, put continuous circuit on and BAM!(yes it did that) the coaster worked the way i wanted instantly
