Well, I've refused to use eBay after I unfairly lost an auction on an item that would've certainly been better used and maintained by myself than the person who actually "won" it. I'm still looking for a good, reasonably-priced (<$4000) Besson euphonium to this day; if you see any let me know ;)

I hope eBay dies a fast and painful death!

Wow, the maker of the video doesn't have the time to change the standard WMM captions colors... He's really putting up a large effort.

Will do! You know what they say...

Rule 1: The customer is always right

Rule 2: If the customer is ever wrong, see Rule 1.

VIVA LA RESISTANCE!

Its not like the site isn't replaceable anyways. People who have an addiction need to realize there are other sites just like ebay to fill that void in their life.

Did you even watch the video? The whole point was that eBay is a good thing that's being ruined by it's new management. The guy wants to save it, not kill it.

i hate ebay, always have. i have collected all manner of collectible things my WHOLE entire life.. my life used to revolve around pawnshops, flea markets , thrift stores and used record shops.. until ebay came around.. now i dont see what i want at these places anymore, why? because some clueless I Love You!tard asshole peice of I Love You! I Love You!wad with a palm pilot who could give a I Love You! less about anything else but getting a plasma tv or paying the payment on the acura bought it so he could sell it on ebay..
does anyone know what it's like to finally find something you've been looking for for ten years, covered in dust at a "junk shop" and ask the shopkeeper "how much" only to get the reply.. "i dunno.. let me check ebay"? or to se something ridiculously overpriced with a I Love You!ing printout of an ebay page taped to it while the clueless bastard selling it cant even tell you what the I Love You! it is... aaaaaaarrrggh

I can see this totally working . . . hold on, I just remembered that I'm full of sarcasm.

I've heard an argument like this before . . . sounds just like all of those "Let's all NOT buy GAS on this one day!!!1!! GAS OUTS WORK, LET"S SHOW OPEK!?????????

When has anyone ever been able to coordinate enough people to make a gas out effective? Which leads to . . . there's no way that an "eBay Out" is going to work. The first problem is that there is no way to clearly communicate this to every single eBay buyer and seller, things are going to get listed, things are going to get bought. The second problem is, as Oscar helps to prove, that people LIVE ON and OFF of eBay. Asking people to stop selling on eBay is like jumping up randomly one day at work and demanding that everyone around you walks out. Even if the whole room followed you (which they won't because people like having jobs and making money and eating food and sleeping in some kind of shelter) you're probably not going to get the whole work force to leave. You're just a drop of water in the ocean, and are so easily replaceable. People do WORK with eBay. You can't ask someone to quit their job based on a shoddy YouTube video. This person couldn't even be bothered to change the standard colors for the background and text of Windows Movie Maker, which just fills me with trust.

As I was saying, eBay is like Gas. Even if you stop it for a day or five, people are going to need to get their fill again sometime soon. Even the people who participate are just going to do it before, and after the boycott time. This will do nothing. Buyers are addicted, and a lot of sellers are using eBay so that they can get by. You can't stop eBay, no matter how much you hate it.

Their point is not going to get across, this will do nothing to change anything.
