is it possible to film your NL tracks for YouTube videos/trailers using the simulator? or do you have to have an outside program? [confused]

im asking this because i've seen some trailers on youtube where the video says "www.nolimitscoaster.com" ... [;)]

No, nowadays No limits has an AVI option, just press num lock and then the 5 or 0 to switch it on and off, I don't know the exact keys for sure but you can check the simulators help screen for them! ;)

it always works for me with numpad 0 and that tends to get the job done, press to start the video and press again to stop, someone worked out the best combination of settings on the sim but i don't know them, they're in this forum though

I use the AVI export as well, then editing with Sony: Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 7.0

A tip for convenience;
Go into the menu - in the NL simulator
Click setup > controls
Change the 'start/stop AVI export' key to 'R' (for record)

I find there are too many keys to remember so I try to think of things to help me remember.

If you just want to upload a POV or you just don't need to edit the clip, YouTube accepts AVI files (as long as it's under 100mb). I haven't tried it yet, but it might actually have some problems with it. WMP and Quicktime both play them correctly but for some reason it stops randomly in VLC.

Some good ways to lower file size for YouTube and/or improve recording performance are to lower the resolution and the record speed. 15fps might be a little choppier than 24 or 30, but it will give you a slightly smaller file size.
