to all englanders(yes, ENGERLAND!) who felt the earthquake? in case you didn't know(unlikely) but there was an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, the epicenter (the middle bit where its most strong)was up in lincolnshire, it started around about 00:56AM GMT time and lasted for about 7 seconds, who felt it? I DID WOOH! MY FAN FELL DOWN AND SMASHED...yeah.[;)]

I live across the pond but if your parks were open during that quake, can you imagine how cool/scary a coaster would have been then? Lucky no one was badly hurt.

The epicenter is the point above where the earthquake actually occurred (deep in the crust). Not to be a total ass but 5.3 is on the low side of medium. 6.0 is 10 times as strong as 5.0 since the Richter scale is logarithmic.

and gazag i know its spelt england i just like to spell it that wa.y
its a shame it wasn't during the day as well because a coaster would have been good with an earthquake.

I didn't feel it (live down south-east):( But the closest of me ever feelin' an earthquake would've have to been when the Oil Building set alight in Hemel Hempstead. Even France felt it!

5.3 [lol]

it's quite embarrassing that there has been such a fuss over what would be classed anywhere else as a small tremor [lol]

the thing didn't even wake me up and i'm a fairly light sleeper. The last "large" one we had though, 6 or so years back, that was a 4.8, but the epicentre was like 6 miles from my house so i did feel that one heh heh.

And as for the Oil building explosion, we felt that up here as well, 100 miles away, that was really quite scary though that was. The sky to the south was completely black! I'm surprised a lot of people didn't die in that thing.

It was strange. The sky was deep grey and the the clouds were shattered if you know what i mean like a shockwave has passed through, they eclipsed the sun which was weird felt like night time.

Over where I live, we harldy ever get quakes. The ones that we get are so small you hardly notice them.
