I had an idea earlier today that maybe Oscar or whomever can take into consideration. I think all/any members should have the ability to delete there own tracks (or whatever they uploaded into the exchange). I don't know if that is an easy addition/change to apply but it could be useful.

Example 1: If a user uploads and a non-working (blank) screenshot appears. The user can immediately delete the old one and re-upload rather than having two up there and waiting for an administrator to delete the bad one.

Example 2: A user might have some really old tracks on the exchange that are rarely, if ever going to be downloaded again. Thus if the user decides they can remove them to free-up some space and make there area a little less cluttered.

Anyways, you guys get the point of the suggestion..?

i see where if you mess up something while uploading you coaster it would be nice to take it down, but then again, if you can take down your rides without asking, then if you get a bad rate or something, then you could just delete it, but thats just dumb. some n00bs might take advantage of that. so i think if it were made where you could delete your own rides, you would have to wait at least two weeks after you post it to delete tostop that problem, but thats only if it is made so. just something i thought of.

Thats a really good idea that could make it happed - a time target to hit before you can delete. Wait, there would have to be two!

The first one can be within the first 10 minutes (for mess-ups)
The second time period is after a few weeks (or a month)
-- so you can't delete between 10 minutes and about a month (a n00b barrier)?

In my experience, few people ever ask for a track delete and it is fairly difficult to botch the track uploading procedure. If you really want a track deleted you can contact one of the staff and we can take care of that. I would even be willing to delete multiple tracks if you asked nicely.

I don't have a problem with it. I'm not the one who would be responsible for making something like that work anyway. What you guys are talking about certainly isn't a bad idea and it could be something that works through the points store.

I've always wanted the ability to delete. Sometimes you upload rides that just arent as good as your usual tracks and nobody likes them. For example, i want to delete Naive and Ruby. But i just cant!

That also could work against the n00bs. Since they start only with a few amount of points. But I guess we are going to have the problem that they are going to beg for points then or that they starts spamming for points [lol]

Well one of the moderators is on the site at all times, so if you go on to the forums page, look at who is signed in and send a PM to whatever mod is online.

It's worth it when you don't have suckass tracks in your record.

Why? I like to look at my tracks and see the improvement I have made.
