Abortion!

This site hasn't had a bloody melee of words in a long while so I think I'll create one. Opinions of abortion now!

Mine is that it's okay when the "baby" is just a clump of cells with no brain matter or feelings or the like. Once you hit around 10-12 weeks I don't feel it's the right thing to do from that point.

I agree with what you said.

Do it before a like 2 months pass. Then the life is way too valuable to lose.

Its all opinionated, some very religious people would'nt dare get an abortion.

I don't quite understand why this is such a huge issue. People should always be granted freedom of choice, and the only problem occurs when abortions are carried out late-term, which could well be considered inhumane. It is my opinion that people ought to be able to make up their minds within the first 12 weeks (as you said), and if they don't bother to do something about it by then they might as well go through with it.

It's always fun when people try to turn their religious beliefs into law, however.

I'd first run a test and see in the unborn thing is ok (right amount of chromosomes and that I Love You!). Then people still should be able to decide to have an abortion

I think its brought on by society. When you get pregnet you get called a slut and your parents kick you out and then with the finical problems its just easyer to kill the baby. If people were more understanding and didn't call the girls sluts and their parents didn't kick them out and aided them with the finical issues then it would be avoidable.

All for abortion up until about 12 weeks in normal circumstances. However, in certain circumstances i would stll think its the right thing to do up until about 20 weeks - like if someone has been raped or something, then surely it could be considered as the lesser of two evils if the kid was going to grow up unloved etc. Although, i do think its a better idea to have the child and put it up for immediate adoption, if possible anyway!

I agree with you, but still, rape victims should always be allowed to have an abortion, it wasn't there intention to get pregnant.
But having it adopted would indeed be better, but that doesn't happen to many times.

Abortion is ok all the time. Why bring someone to life that you don't want and wont take care of right? All this talk about the baby hurts and stuff is ridiculous because when that baby is born it will be subject through more hardships than ending it all before it becomes a tougher responsibility to take care of.

Thats what i was trying to get to.

If abortion is illegal then there will be a lot more women killing their babies after they're alive.

Abortion should be legal, I agree with ckmwm.

It all comes down to choice of what to do with your own body. Rape victims should always have the choice to have an abortion. Anyone else should get it done within the first couple months at the most, after that it does seem a little inhumane. I think the bigger issue is that we should be trying to decrease the need for abortions at all, especially in teenagers. So much of the country is still getting abstinence-only education that obviously does nothing to stop kids from having sex, it just leaves them unprepared when they do.

Ar, but I meant that they dont all still live with their parents... cus they're like 40 As in their parents are probably dead!

I must put something out there. You can not possibly imagine how serious of a topic this is unless you are in the presence of a child abortion situation.

Last year my older sister and her husband got pregnant, and they were in huge financial upsets that are still carrying over today. There would have been no way to raise this child, so after weeks of distress and worry, they decided to get an abortion.

Witnessing her go through that struggle was hell, even for me. I thought that abortion was simply a choice whose freedom should be held in hands of the mother; it's so much more. To this day those two people strain over the thought of what their child could've been.

If you are in this situation, either choice can ruin you for life. This is serious I Love You! you guys.

If you're aborting twins do they charge by the fetus or is it the same procedure?

I do not believe in abortions, I believe if you have an abortion you are killing a human that never had a chance to see the outside world I think that is very wrong.

I, personally, think that abortion is not the right choice. However, I am pro-choice. I think everyone should have the right to choose what is the best for them. And it's not like making abortion illegal would stop it. All it would do would be to stop them from happening in controlled environments, and lead many girls to going for the completely unsafe back-alley solution. So I think the best thing is to keep it legal. It's up to them to make their own decision, even though I'm personally against it.
