Well, the playoffs are just around the corner, so let the bandwagon jumping begin.
Are there even any hockey fans here?
Here are my predictions;
Montreal - I personally think Montreal has a great chance of going all the way this year. They have some great players and Price has really stepped up to the plate with Huet gone.
Leafs - LOL
Detroit - Again, another very impressive team but the average age of their teams is a bit of a distraction. Also, Hasek's injury issues can't be giving the team the confidence they need. I see them flopping big time, their performance over the last two months or so should be a good indication of what is to come.
Carolina - I see Carolina as the team that no one will see coming. So far in March, they have won 8 of 10 games. One loss being in over time. Nice. Probably not enough to make it to the finals, but definitely a team to watch out for if they can keep the pace up.
Pittsburgh - I think it will definitely be Pittsburgh vs Montreal in the conference final. With the talent on this team, it is hard to say who will go further, but give them two more years and I think they will be hoisting the cup up.
San Jose - Sharks are definitely a cup contender. Nabokov has been brilliant this year.
Anaheim - I don't think the ducks are going far. Enough said.
Ottawa - Flop as usual. Booted in the first round. Whether you blame it on their goal tending situation or their star players not performing, but they just suck.
blah, I'll stop right there lol
I am now officially ditching the Leafs and cheering for Montreal. Deep down inside I am also hoping that Washington makes it into the playoffs.
