Intrestingly, I am writing a (wtf long) paper on abortion (the Roe v. Wade case actually), due tommorow... only 5 pages so far but hopefully by around 5am I'll be done D:
Anyway, i haven't read all of this, but i am pretty much in agreement with the first post. I dont think that sucking up a clump of lifeless, consciousless (sp?) cells is wrong. No matter how hard you try to protect, there are always going to be cases when it doesnt work, etc.. Plus, stuff like rape you cant really control, which further justifies abortion imo. But whatever.
Another point to consider with abortion: if you support a full ban, what will actually happen? The only things the "war on drugs" accomplished are a continuation of poverty and an ineffective, discriminating police force.
A good point indeed. Banning abortion would not stop it, definatly. (lmfao at the attempts to stop drugs, piracy, etc) stuff is going to continue happening. (and imho the continuation of these is not entirly a bad thing... i like society being on the edge of failure.. adds some excitement)
But anyway... I just dont see how terminating something that can not think for (or of) itsself, couldn't live outside the womb, and.. well... is just a lifeless clump is wrong. It certainly isnt murder.
edit: Anyone remember that epic, like 10 page gay/christianity/stuff argument? good times.
