$140,000, A bag full of money fell off a Brinks truck off in front of a bank. The bills were unmarked and could have kept them. The guy owes child support, back taxes, credit card debt and his landscaping business is crap. So why would an idiot turn in this amount of money seeing the way his life is? I don't know but I would find the guy and pop him in the head like in the V8 commercials and be like, what were you thinking moron!
Seriously, would any of you, being in his monetary situation, turn in $140,000 that no one would know you took and you found?
For all this he only got a $2,000 reward. Seriously, what is wrong with people these days. I know honesty is the best policy is all the rave but there is a clear difference between honesty and stupidity.

lol, I know I would probably think about keeping it. But I would probably start thinking about the FBI or someone showing up at my house looking for the money and puss out.

That is too large of a sum of money to keep. Especially if it fell off of a brinks truck. I would turn it in too. knowing brinks they prbably keep track of all of the serial numbers on their bills...lol, so I wouldn't have taken my chances. Especially with a company like that.

But its Brinks. They know how much money is in all of their bags at all times. Even if you took 40 of it and left 100,000 they would know and Im sure somehow they would dink you for it.

To be honest, you didnt have 2,000 to begin with. So even that sum of money would be pretty cool IMO. Heck, I could pay off some stuff with that and wouldnt have had to do anything for it.

brok, they were unmarked bills so if you started spending them, they couldn't be traced back to you. What I would do is visit lots of liquor stores and spend like $1 and get $19 back in change for each $20 if I was paranoid lol. Other than that, I would simply stash it somewhere only I knew and deposit a tiny bit, $100-$200 a week to my account over time and voila, be done with it or just save it at home and deposit my checks completely and spend the cash as needed.

Integrity ... doing what is right even when no one is looking. I would have turned it in as well.

Yeah I have to agree with Tcon, I would have so much guilt in taking this, he returned it and walked away with 2 grand, he came with nothing so what.

sorry to double post, but...

Turning in the money is really not that dumb.

It would not be very hard to trace...
I mean, a poor guy all of a sudden pays off all his debts? Come on...

But still, I probably wouldn't turn it in.

Well, it would also be dumb to pay off all debts in a split second and raises suspicions right away.

It would be very tempting to keep it, but I would turn it in too. It's too risky to keep that amount of money even if it's unmarked.

He owned a landscaping business, so I'm sure it would be possible to figure out some kind of money laundering scheme.
