Good stuff man. I know youve done this many a time buuuut..can i get a rundown of the synths and other equipment you use again? Im thinking of buying a synth or two for next year (FL Studio can only do so much [:)]) and am interested you use and/or recommend.

synths
arp odyssey mk 1
roland juno 60
roland juno 106
roland sh-1000
korg poly 6 (waiting for midi retrofit.. someday)
korg poly 800 2
combo organs
farfisa compact combo
viscount ufo 61
hohner intercontinental electronic piano
thats my analog stuff..
for digital i have
roland mt 32
and a yamaha pss 480..
and several casio sk's (some bent some un modded)and tons of other little noisemakers made from synth based toys
and a really fancy kurzwiel 88 wieghted key piano
drum machines i got a roland tr 77
tr 505
boss dr 550
and a ZOOM mrt 3(hunk of crap, but it does exactly what i want it to)
i record on a pro tools digi 001, running pro tool 6.4(which is the highest version for my interface)
i have a crappy beringer mixer, but it does have phantom power.
i monitor through fostex pmo.5 studio monitors
but for that video i used my us-122 ( a really good usb recording interface that i use as my primary sound device)
now thats WAY too much stuff for what you want to do!
i recommend downloading emulators, and REASON, which is a really good tool for learning the concept of analog synthesis..
and to be honest i had fruity loops for a day and that too did well to provide control over specific parameters within certain instuments, such as lpf and envelope.. maybe you just need to dig deeper into the menus in fruity loops. to be honest i was pretty impressed with it for what it was.. i'm just sort of more of a gear junkie than anything..

Oh trust me, I know a good deal of the abilities of FL and I could make practically any sound (or synth emulation for that matter) with it. I cant imagine there is anything that cant be done given how many filters, automations, samples, prefabbed synths, etc. are provided and/or available....but synths are just so much more fun. [;)] And I would like to have one too just for the sake of having one really.

Also...you have waaaaaaaay too many toys. That money could have been spent on FL along with every other DAW and mod known to mankind. Which is why I am awfffullyy jealous.

well, like i said i'm a gear head.. if i bought all theat stuff, the daws and what not, next year they'll be worth HALF what i've paid, my babies on the other hand go up in value on a regular basis.. and besides , other than the instant gratification factor, i'm not terribly fond of dance music to be honest, but it sure is easy and fun to make
by the way .. MICROKORG!!!!!!! unless you can afford a couple hundred extra ms-2000 which is exactly the same synth with a more accesible panel
