Hi guys,
A couple of weeks ago me and a friend visited Thorpe park. We were kinda bored of the Dutch theme parks so we decided to cross the pond to the UK. And I'm glad we did, we started of at Amsterdam Intl. airport where a British airways flight was going to take us to London Heathrow, that's terminal 5, damn am I happy we didn't have any luggage except for our backpacks. When you only have that with you terminal 5 is actually quite relax.
Well Thorpe, I liked it very much. Up till now there's nothing to compare Stealths front seat with, the acceleration and speed are just phenomenal. I had the most credits on Nemesis Inferno, B&M sure squized an amazing ride in this tiny space, very forcefull and I loved it. So funny when it broke down on the first day with a huge line, everybody was walking away from it and just as we were passing by they opened it again. [lol]
colossus was a cool ride, although the barrel rolls were painfull as hell, I mean, when you're in one you just keep bouncing around in your restraints, but the overall ride was good. Then we did some of the other rides there such as Slammer, which broke down with me in it, luckely mechanics were just around the corner since it was braking down all day, so no long delays there. Rush was awesome too, too bad it has such a short program.
May 9th we decided to head over to London for a while to do some crash sight seeing. And that concluded our amazing days in England. I'll definately be back!

And that was it, back home in a loaded BA 767, lol. Flight attendents running around the plane and having to give everybody drinks and food in an half hour flight. [lol]

Well I had a great time, and I absolutely love England now, it was my first visit but I'll definately be back.

*If you happen to want a pic here only in a larger size, let me know. [;)]

shame they broke down that much! You obviously caught it on a bad day, nothings ever broken down while i've been there. Some rides havent been open on the days, but never a break down.

Glad you enjoyed it though. Hurry up with those pics!

The picture taken from "The Dome" looking across the park, where you've managed to capture the train on Stealh, Tidal Wave and Detonator at the same time, is a really really good photo! Not just because of getting the three trains in, but with the blue sky and stuff (probably the only blue sky seen this year in England [lol]) Some other really nice photos too [;)]

we had rain about 55% of the time when i was there, it was mostly the unseeable death rain which doesn't seem like much but drenches you after long enough. it was refreshing at times, i'm still annoyed that stealth, ruch and slammer were closed, the three which i really didn't want to be closed as well! but i conquered my fear of the X/:no way out restraints, which i am too thin to be safely held in, my friend was as thin as me so it was all good.

I made this crap compilation of Colossus, it isn't the best but I did't have that much material to work with. I've got tons of other footage to make a park compilation but I'll get to that some other time.

Fot better quality, click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zbpJ2Rm3mU and select high quality.
Check out my profile too, there are some random pov's to be found there. [;)]

that video was actually alright, right up 'til towards the end where it kinda ended in an anticlimactic splodge... those barrel rolls are great! so wierd and they throw you about in a good way.

i indeed need to eat more pies, perhaps i should go to the chip shop right now...

Yeah, that's where I ran out of footage. [:D]
And the barrel rolls, if you fit correctly in the restraints they are cool, but if not the bouncing around can get pretty annoying.

Eat pies, it's good.

well generally it's not my thin-ness, its that i bang my head on the restraints so i have to jam my head to one side on fast turns to avoid head trauma, or a headache the next day. corkscrew is the worst offender, this is gonna be goo- WHAMW!HAM!WHAM!WHAM! sore head+headache.

I second PIES. PIES are the best things in this country, yes.....better than Stealth.
Thorpe Park crops up a few times on the WWS UK Coaster Crew's meetings, so next time your thinking of coming, give Gazag or Rachael a shout they normally organise them.

Some awesome pictures dude, nice to see you had a good time too.

Thanks [:)]

I decided to make a park video after all, I found some time to do it. Although it's not that great I still want to share it with ya'll.

Or click here and use the high quality option, its way better then.
