Six Flags announced today that Six Flags Great Adventure President Mark Cane has been replaced by John Fitzgerald, a 28 year veteran of the theme park industry. He will oversee all three facilities on the property including the animal and water parks.

Similarly Jay Thomas has announced he is is leaving his position as president of Six Flags Magic Mountain for a desk job at Six Flags corporate headquarters in Grand Prairie. His immediate replacement is Bonnie Rabjohn, a 22 year veteran with 15 years of managerial experience.

I am disappointed that no changes have taken place at SFOT. Quite arguably the worst performing park in the chain.

Further house cleaning:

Six Flags announced today that John Duffy has been appointed to the position of chief financial officer, Jeffrey Speed who previously held the position under Shapiro's administration is leaving for greener pastures. Lance Balk will assume position of Chief Counsel.

Oh, SF sucks and the rest of the planet knows it.

For example... SFGA Gurnee, IL. used to be a beautiful park. But the last time I was there, a lot of areas were overgrown, coin op machines were broken or jammed, electric wheel chairs didn't hold a charge, the structures were moldy and needed serious work and repairs, and the restrooms were flooded, gross and smelly.

Why sink a couple million into a coaster, when they haven't maintained the gounds they already have? They must think the park is disposable.
