While Casper has been doing some 3ds for Betrayal, I decided to get a second project started titled Machiavellian. Machiavellian will be the first coaster manufactured by a new company who wanted a very intense first impression. Thus, the biggest thing I kept in mind on this design was to not limit my ideas. Trackwork is most definitely my best and I love what I have done with the layout. Progress has been moving fast for this one, very fast. Supports are just about half done so far and are looking great. As for doing my own 3ds on this one, I have currently only created two separate LSM sections but an actual attempt at theming will come after supports finish. Now to close this first post on Machiavellian here is something much different, instead of the general photos I have decided on a preview video. The video is a .MOV and has an MPEG-4 compression. You may download or stream it through your browser, an alternative flash version is available as well. As always, comments, suggestions, recommendations and questions are accepted and appreciated.

I didnt read all that writing, but i watched the video and your track needs some 3 or 4 tube track, definitely not 2.

The reason I originally went with the two tube track was because otherwise it looked too much like an Intamin and I thought that would confuse some people. I just attempted to change it though since you said something and it screws with the supports I have already laid down. Yet I attempted a second to switch track styles and the closest match was steel looping with three instead of two. However the trains look ugly as I Love You! with my layout. Are you sure that it cannot be just two? I suppose some Euro-Fighters have as intense of forces as my track and have two tube but I am not sure.

[edit]

I have just tried out the X-Car trains with three tube and the heartline value seems to be the same. The free-nodes this time did not move, but the way supports are connected to the spine of the track seem awkward to me. Tell me what you think, should I change it or does anyone think the way I had it before is okay?

I like the hyper 2 seater better, I have to agree your ride would have to have at least 3 tube track in most places.

If I had to switch it back and convert to three tube I have to move all the free-nodes I've placed already. Do you think that would be worth it? I'm not sure.

I had gotten tired of screwing with track/tube styles and numbers and decided that I do not care if it marks down the number in the technical category. After all I build/design in NoLimits for fun. Changing it up so many times had made me lose interest in the matter entirely - which is not fun. I've continued progress on the track/supports as well as some more 3ds. I think I'm finally starting to get use to how Sketchup actually works!

you should use the tunnel maker to make a spine down the track so it looks stable and cool and all. Improvise on it with 3ds. And it wont be terribly difficult.

PlEASE TRY IT it would be really cool to have youre own type of track for a new type of coaster.

Actually you shoud make a tube and crossities to attach it to the part of the crossities horizontal to the rails in tunnel maker by going to a new file and make a reeeeeeealy sort peic of track that is tuneled. but not too frequently. like every few horizontal crossities. It wont take that long.

I really never would have thought of that, thanks! I'll give it a try tonight and see what I can come up with. Hopefully it's not too difficult to implement the idea and make it work if you know what I mean.

As well, the additional comments are nice. There is really only one small issue with the trackwork and that is the 90-to-90 transition is a bit too quick but I like it a lot.

It looks over-supported, in my opinion.

It may appear to be a bit over-supported but you may have been deceived.. A little something from the first post that may explain, "Machiavellian will be the first coaster manufactured by a new company who wanted a very intense first impression."

I have attempted the idea mentioned but am unsure of my best result. Most outcomes were very strange or ugly but this one is not too bad. The only issue I have is that it makes the supports connect to the track in a weird way.. Don't say make the spine thinner or smaller because that is as small as the tunnel maker will let me make it!

Thats sooooooo cool looking. Make the track a different color than the filling. like grey rails and yellow crossities.on the parts with the supports dont have the fill.

Alright, I think I have it this time.. The whole track has the new spine now after fixing some issues with 90* vertical or ~beyond~ segments. I added a bit of new color thanks to the suggestion by Kyle and I actually think it doesn't look bad. Anyone have a second opinion on it?

Looks better than i thought, but the yellow may look better with a bit mor orange to it. Or green to it.whichever looks best. And another way to not have the supports connect wierd is to just delete the prisms that held on the bottom of the old track. Thank you so much for taking time just to try some of my ideas on you track.

The parts put directly under the 2 tube track. Part of supports that connect to the track.

Austin is correct, simply the tunnel maker..

Ohh, I understand that part now but how would you delete/get rid of those? I noticed that some coaster styles just don't have them but I don't know if there is a way to switch them on or off like you suggest. A different coaster style might not be as bad this time around as the new spine really changes the look of the coaster already.
