NoLimits Coaster Tight Fit 2008 Contest

Track style to be used = Classic Steel Looping
You must pass through 6 of the 9 rings.
You may not rotate, enlarge, turn or modify the rings in any way, shape or form.
Unused rings can be deleted.
All supports, station and track work is to remain within the boundaries of the red outline.
You may not modify my outline. The dimensions of it are 200 feet by 200 feet by 125 feet.
Your ride may not go below the 3 foot mark of the red line. The train may not go above the top red boundaries of 125 feet.
Track style to be used = Classic Steel Looping
The track must go entirely inside the ring and may not hit the ring in the editor and in the sim.
Minimum of 2 trains and a minimum of 4 cars per train.
Improved Friction Is Used (Requires NL 1.6or above)

Max positive gravitational forces = 5.5
Max negative gravitational forces = -1
Max lateral gravitational forces +/- = 1

Only 1 single lift allowed. It can be chain or wheels and can be curved. If the lift is curved, wheels must be used.
Wheels can not be used elsewhere on your ride. This includes the station, mid course brakes, prestation brakes and any trim brakes. Basically if I find any wheels other than on the lift hill, you're screwed.

Track style to be used = Classic Steel Looping
No terrain editing allowed.
If it's not stated, it doesn't mean you are allowed to do it. Ask before doing something questionable.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

VERY IMPORTANT
Follow these rules or be disqualified immediately. Don't give me a reason to suspect you, suspicion here is a gulty conviction.
You may not post pictures or post anything that will identify your work.
You may not have others test your work.
Track style to be used = Classic Steel Looping
All work you do will be done by you. No additional scenery objects allowed other than the trees that come by default in the game. This means no 3ds other than the rings I have placed.
When you are finished and wish to submit your ride you will email it to me. You will receive a private message stating my email address.
Due Date: July 4, 2008 9p.m. PST
Anything received after 9 PST will not be considered as part of the contest and simply deleted.
Did I mention the track style to be used is Classic Steel Looping?

Questions and Answers

Can I use lim brakes then?
- no, only normal brakes can be used.

Can the station be moved?
-yes, as long as it remains inside and no part of the station goes outside, this includes both the editor and simulator.
Terrain editing, includes terraforming and textures to the terrain. Leave the terrain as it is.

Why can't you use a curved chain lift?
-Because I said so.

Does this mean the station building can not go outside the borders? What if we decide to hide station building?
-If you hide the station building and if in the editor and sim it does not go outside the borders visually, then it's fine. Meaning that is that station thing in the editor is inside the borders, then it's fine and if the station in hidden and whatever is visible is within the borders then you're fine

Can we create scenic objects using supports and individual colors?
-You can crerate scenic objects with supports and individual colors.

with no terrain editing, do you mean no terroforming, or not even a texture change?

Now, when you mean "nothing", do you mean not even a contest trophy?

And in addition to that question, when the heck is somebody going to update the Contest Winners page? It's almost 3 years behind at this point...

Heck, I'm bored and lacking good inspiration, count me in on this one!

Are you going to post the winners' tracks or allow us to post the tracks after the winners are decided? Half of the fun of contests is to see what other people do with the template...

Nah, I never did the contest winners page. I just hosted contests and kept track of the medals. I don't know a damned thing about coding. If somebody else would do the coding, however, I'd be willing to compile a list of the contests, winners, and links to the track files.

Why can't we use a curved chainlift? The Bavarian Mountain Railroad style rides have them.

EDIT: Sign me up.

Does this mean the station building can not go outside the borders? What if we decide to hide station building?

Can we create scenic objects using supports and individual colors? ( i.e. )
1-Millennium Force | 2-Intimidator 305 | 3-Fury 325
4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka
8-Voyage | 9-Maverick | 10-Monster
