FINALLY! Its been quite a while since ive posted something in this section of the website, but i actually have a coaster i quite like going at the moment, and thought i'd post a couple of pics to show you. [:)]

Im in the middle of learning FVD's at the moment, and this coaster uses about 70% FVD so far and 30% HSAK. It has a first drop of 80 foot, so its not the biggest, but it is pretty twisted, which makes up for it. Max airtime so far is -1.4g and max positive is 4.5g (whih is actually slightly tame compared to some of my previous rides). But ive tried to keep this one within some pretty standard limits, and ive noticed with FVD its much easier to do that.

Anyway, enough of the random speil: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p4685

Take a look for yourself and all comments are welcome. I havent decided on the themeing yet, i just like the name Electric President, so i'll have to think of something! [:p]

Well, having tested it, its pretty amazing! Just a couple of bumps, but i'm sure you'll sort them out.

Also, come on msn, i need to talk to you about some logo work because i just love all your logos on your NLDC.

Looks very interesting. I assume you'll pipe this thing later. I love those first two inversions, they seem to make an excellent combo.

I would really try to keep it under -1.0 for sure.

Do ya think?! Because after watching videos of Speed at Oakwood, that travels over the airtime hill right after the lift hill VERY VERY fast and i heard it produces some amazing airtime. And i was going for some absolutely crazy airtime on that first hill as ther isnt much airtime after that in the first half of the ride, so i thought it'd be better to provide alot at that point - even though it may hurt with OTSRs...

Thanks anyway man, yeah i love the first two inversions, i was tryingto make the immelman tighter but if i make it any tighter the front of the car collides with the track - It cant quite take any more which is a shame because i wanted the second to be taken really fast. Nevermind eh, its still a good combo. [:)]

nope 1.4 is fine. speed although it claims to hit -1g after some tests actually hits -1.3g and i can say its insane after riding it many times

the lift hill is quick untill it hits the top were it slows down but the only way to get away with that on NL is to seperate the lift hill which could screw up youe block segments.

so far looking very awsome and im loving the look of the compactness of it[:D]

Ahh, I overlooked his air hill. I thought he was referring to the drop, where -1.3 would not be realistic. But Speed does pull -1.3, so you're good jpe.

ahahahaha. Scrapped it for now. It was way too intense and was bound to get loads of bad rates for lack of realism so i couldnt be bothered anymore. lol.

I like me a good twisty Euro Fighter. I'll be waiting for this track. My only hope is that when you do use two tube track, you give it a bunch of supports.

Im gonna change some to 3 tube anyway, but there should be some bits, like the tight helix that will be 2 tube and have lots of supports. I hope anyway! hehehe.

Right then boyos! I havent posted for quite a while i dont think. I've had alot on exams and stuff, but, now hey've finished i've finally managed to start some work on Electric President again, however slow it is coming along. Heres the link:

http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p4685

Basically, what has changed between now and the last update is track tubing has all been changed, so now the inversions and bottom of the first airtime hill are all 3 tube. Some supports have been added to the lift hill and first airtime hill (i am waiting until the majority of 3ds work is done to build the rest of the supports, as they will greatly be affected by the buildings, pavements and tunnels planned for the remainder of the ride). And also there has been ALOT of 3ds work going on, particularly focusing on the station building at the moment. What is interesting about this station building compared to all the others i've done is that the actual station is below the level of the pavement and the queue line (similar to Air at Alton Towers). I liked the idea of having the pavements around the ride much higher than usual coasters, and even though this makes the ride seem smaller, it will allow alot more interaction between guests below and the ride itself, as well as increasing the number of potential tunnels and trenches i can create! [:D] However, by raising the pavements around the ride i've also noticed that you can see very little of the station building from the front. I'm not sure if that is a problem as such, but i would greatly appreciate other people's opinions on this! Please leave comments and things, mainly regarding the 3ds now, as nothing else can really change now [lol]

Thanks guys!

Wow, awesome work jpe.
Thats some proper 3ds work!

Only one thing, aren't there a little too many transport wheels in the station area?

I dont know about the transport wheels. I can get rid of a few i think, but i dont want to totally hide them. Hmmm i'll have a think about that! [:D]

And Thanks, im glad you like the 3ds work! [:D] Im getting really annoyed with Object Creator though because it just doesnt quite have the capabilities i want it to have! [lol]

HAHA. No way. You are the only one testing it at the moment, and its staying that way until i get a little more done! [:D]

EDIT: ANOTHER QUICK UPDATE

http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p4685

3 new images have been added showing some of the 3d work ive done in the last 2 days. I've created the basic shape for 2 tunnels (only one is pictured), a bridge and viewing platform for the drop, i've almost finished the lift tower, and have started work on an onride photo booth and some other stalls and games along one side of the ride. Anyway, please leave comments on what i've done so far, they are much appreciated!!! [:)]

jpecool, this is just a suggestion, but I think the ride could look even better if you change the airtime hill into a zero-g roll. I don't know but when I saw that first hill after the lift, it looked like a perfect spot for one...
Oh, were you expecting something here?
