Newer statements said he was trying the retrieve his had he lost on Batman, still stupid, but it would make more sense than the foot theory.

Maybe a safety award for SFOG: Even with an unexpected organic obstacle in the way, none of the riders got injured on Batman the Ride during the collision.

Who says an invert doesn't have good head choppers?! I think if that kid only wanted to retrieve a hat, he would have waited for the train to pass, or even ducked as it went by. The media/police were probably trying to find a plausible explanation as to why he was in there in the first place. They probably were thinking that no one would do anything THAT stupid.....

I seemed stupid to me too, but it appears that whitnesses said he was looking for his hat. It was in a article somewhere at CNN.

i still think that he is about as sensible as a headless chicken, and moreover probably looks like one now.
Cradled by two loving arms that I'd die for,
One little kiss and Felina goodbye.

jest sayin'.. if the parents acknowledge that it was his fault i'm going to be really really suprised..
well,
i'm really really suprised.. the father came foreward and basically said his son did something unwise , and that the park is not to blame..

that is suprising because the parents usually come back with something really stupid..and then they get a lawyer to go along with it.
Is now 15!

I give a lot of credit to the parents. At a terrible time like that.

Although...to sue would be like suing Wendy's for the coffee being too hot
