Actually I was saying that realistic isnt just whats been done IRL. Why do we let the manufacturer dictate SO much when we design? Remember, alot of times the rides are dictated by the park - not the manufacturer. I am very certain if a park wanted a B&M Hyper to pull 4.5 or 5G's they could get them to do it. But most parks dont want anything too extreme.

Look to Alton Towers for what theyve gotten B&M to do. Also Dueling Dragons with IOA. Theres a few other parks out there who have gotten "softer" companies to draw up what well call an unusual ride when it might just be a ride theyd rather design.

Look at Stengel! The rides that he has been given the most control over are some of his, if not, most intense. Then you look at the rides in which the park mostly dictated his moves and force wise they are so-so.

Im not saying to go nuts and hold 6 G's for 2 seconds at every drop. Just dont let people say that because a ride style doesnt pull more than 4.5 that you cant push it up to even 5. Seriously, that half a G if held for the same duration wont be much difference.

Keep in mind it should be close - just not far off. Like seeing a GG style woodie pullin 5G's would make me shudder. Even if they went and used extensive supporting I would knock it because maintenance would be a biatch and it would jackhammer in that section in like a year.

Keep it within means but since thats too subjective, Id say give or take a half a g or so isnt so bad. Unless you are already maxing out the charts (like from 6 to 6.5) then you shouldnt have an issue. Negatives would bother me more. A B&M hyper shouldnt really compete with an Intamin Hyper there.

Real, you misunderstood my post. I was saying exactly what you did to refute my comment lol. My post meant that 4.3 is fine, since Apollo pulls 4.1 so 4.3 is within reason.

dcs, I know that's what you meant, you misread my post probably lol. I was just saying that I went ubove the previous positive Gs pulled on a real B&M Hyper.

Yeah, and I wasn't addressing that post in my last post. 4.2 is over 4.1 and I said you're fine... I was only speaking to Real because I believe he misunderstood me.

Other B&M hypers also might exceed 4.1...not sure if it's true but I heard at one point that Stengel designed Nitro's helix to hold 4.5 g's. The 4.1 though is an official statistic as far as I know, which is why I noted that in my initial post.

You're fine though. I just wanted to show that I meant you were fine, when Real thought I meant you shouldn't go over Apollo's 4.1.

I knew what you meant. I had to use your quote as a reference point.

Yeah, the gap is a little big, but you can simply slide that 3rd support some more towards the middle. I don't think B&M uses much supporting, you just have to place them right.

New Update: Lots of new things. I have come up with a final color scheme for the ride. All support work is done and I have mostly finished testing. Still debating weather I should do some 3ds. If anyone would be gracious enough to help with them I'd appreciate it. I've made a quick trailer for all of you to enjoy while I'm finishing up the ride.

Haha, "sweet ride". But seriously, this is starting to look really good. If you want me to do some more testing, I'd be more than happy.

I love the colors, and from what I have seen the airtime hills look really well shaped.

FINISHED

The ride is now finished after starting it nearly 2 mounths ago. It has taken more than twice the time that any previous project has taken me, but it's been worth it. Look for it up on the extange on Sunday the 27th after 12:00am site time.

I hope it meets the hype too. Don't expect the best ride of all time because this wont deliver if your thinking that. But in my eyes it's a very good ride. I would put it up but there is little things that still need to be done.
