If you don't want the money, you can ask InMotion to donate it to us [;)]

You put the logo on it because thats where the simulator is going to be.
and after you submit its not necessarily yours anymore it becomes Inmotion's. the prize money is kind of like buying the track
What are these for?

its hard for me to explain what I mean but I think you understand my meaning. Lets try it this way
You are the owner of it but Inmotion becomes a sort-of co-owner
Does that work?

I think Hansixx would have a good shot at winning this with Thalys, if premade tracks are allowed. Just a random thought. :P

Premade tracks are allowed if they meet the requirements or can be edited to meet the requirements.

Would I be right to say it only needs 1 train with no blocks and no need for e-stop?

@ Kevin...a runaway train is a great idea for a theme! And by the way, we're calling the simulator "The Crazy Train"

Also...this must be a fantasy track and don't worry about realism or G-forces. Just get crazy!

sounds good
Cradled by two loving arms that I'd die for,
One little kiss and Felina goodbye.

Well, it doesn't really make it fun anymore when you KNOW the track is pulling 17.4 g's. Even though the general public that will be riding this simulator won't know what a gforce is, it's still better IMO to make it on the realistic side.
X2 ??? Intimidator 305 ??? Millennium Force ??? Iron Rattler ??? El Toro ??? Fury 325 ??? Maverick ??? Skyrush ??? Twisted Timbers ??? Voyage

I'm sure the aldults that ride it will know what a gforce is. They just have no reason to care

Who cares about g forces when the ride is meant to be fun and not boring. Fantasy rides, doing stuff out of realistic reals make a simulator fun. If you want something realistic, then they would buy a real roller coaster. If they want something fun and wild and cheaper, then a motion simulator is best suited for this.

^Lol, well said.

I'm going to make a second more unrealistic track, my first has realistic everything, except for one trait.

Multiple tracks are allowed... right?

multiple submissions of different designs are allowed. Gives us more to chose from, and who knows, more than one of your designs may get accepted [:)]

Matt, I think it's different.
It says:
"Prize Money:
1st - $100 USD
Each additional track used by InMotion - $50 / track
US residents will be sent a check
Non-US residents will receive an online gift card of their choice
(Note: InMotion will own any track it pays for and can be used commercially)"

So, that means that the 100$ is just the price money. And I guess InMotion is going to buy the rights of some tracks for an undisclosed amount. Probably because they might not use the winning track in the end. And I bet the money they actually pay (don't mix that up with the prize-money) will be way more than the 100$ (and actually make up for all the work you put into this design).

Matt, I don't understand your side of the story.

I put about 4 to 5 hours into my first design, and I've already put like two into my second. 5 hours at minimum wage is approximately $45 or so. So I believe $50 dollars is a reasonable price.

Please expand your side, though.
