Leslie Neilsen Dies at the Age of 84

The famous "Naked Gun" and "Airplane" actor (honestly I thought he was hysterical to watch in any movie he did) and all-together funny guy who traded a dramatic acting career for comedy died on Sunday. [:(]

Nielsen was married to: Monica Boyer, 1950-1955; Sandy Ullman, 1958-74; and Brooks Oliver, 1981-85.

Nielsen and his second wife had two daughters, Thea and Maura.

So at least the family name is still going.

CLASSIC movies. CLASSIC actor. Sad to see him go. I gotta watch those again...

Scary Movie

Hollywood has lost a great asset....I am watching Airplane "don't call me Shirley" edition right now....classic stuff. "get me ham on 5, hold the mayo."....I know, not Leslie Nielsen's line, but still funny.

I didn't realize that "and don't call me Shirley" line was his...I figured it was a quote when I heard it in Modern Warfare, but didn't know from where. I don't think I've seen a whole Naked Gun or Airplane, but I have seen good sized chunks here and there and I really liked them. Too bad.
