Ongoing TR - Jakizle Travels East Coast with TPR

You read the title right, I'm about to embark on a 13 day journey on a Theme Park Review coaster trip. I will be hitting 17 of America's best amusement parks and some of the world's best coasters.

I depart from my home in 8 hours and will be flying to Philadelphia where I will meet with the group. Thursday morning will mark the beginning of the tour.

This thread will be dedicated to nightly verbal updates. I will post a formal photo trip report (expect 1000's of photos, lol) when I return on August 18th.

It's going to be blast, and I look forward to sharing my experiences with ya'll.

I am planing to meet you guys while your at Dorney on the 16th. Have a good time at the other parks on the tour.

Man I'd love to do something like this but I just don't have the time or ca$h.

^You would be surprised with how quickly you could pay off the trip. I just got a full time job when I signed up and was able to make both of the payments easily, and I often only worked 2-3 days a week.

Tetsu, if you see somebody wearing a texas or steele knights high school t-shirt, that's me. Those are like the only shirts I own! Haha.

lucky lucky guy, im hopin g i can get on the east coast trip next year, ive been saving for 3 years now and im going to do my best to get on it next year though i was aiming for this year. but being from the uk it isnt cheap.

have a great trip and wil be good to see some awsome photos and reports

I will be on this trip as well. (Hanging out with Jake) I wont be arriving in Philly until Thursday morning so I still have a few hours left around here.

This day is going to go by so slowly!

I am now coming to you guys LIVE, from my recliner at gate 3 of the SAT airport! This airport is soo nice.

Gazag, I'm pretty sure next year won't be an East Coast trip. They usually change where they go every year, but R&E did say they would start repeating trips in a few years...it will be interesting to see what they have in store next year.

I am now going to post the schedule! Hopefully it will get ya'll excited for all of the photo trip reports.

Huh, you never told me about that Alan. I guess its obvious at to why you cant take pictures there though. Should be cool to see that.

Tiepilot, the two SFNE days are halfdays. On Friday we go to SFNE for 1/2 a day, then LC for the evening.

On Saturday, we go to SFNE for 1/2 a day, then the surprise park, which im guessing is Rye Playland.

And I am now coming to you LIVE from the HOTEL in Philly! This is where all of the fun begins! I even met 4 TPR members on the shuttle to the hotel. Time to go eat some Philly cheesesteaks!

Oh I see. Well I hope you have a lot of fun at great adventure, I expect a very detailed report of that park. I plan on going sometime in the future; it's number one on my list of parks to go to.

I'm going to guess that after a day or two you will give up on this whole live trip report thing. [:P]

Sounds like a really fun couple weeks, I would love to go on one of TPR's trips sometime in the near future.

^ Its worth the money id say. We have 19 hours worth of ERT coming up for us. 1 Hour on El Toro, S:ROS and Dash! I am going to love Friday!

Anyways I'm going to sign off for the last time here. I need sleep so I can get up at 3:30 AM tomorrow for my 7 AM flight.

Finally met hyyyper today in the hotel lobby area. We (and some others) got some food and hung out for a while in the lobby. Most have gone to bed though, as the flights have changed up everyone's sleep pattern. Parks start tomorrow!
