I have been a coaster enthusiast since I was 10. I went to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and I rode Chang. When I go to any amusement/theme park, I make it a point to ride every roller coaster in that park at least once. Oh, and I am going to Cedar Point (again) on Labor Day weekend!

My family went to CP every year, so I kind of just inherited it. I didn't get really into coasters until I was just bored and found something about a "Project 2007" for Cedar Point. I didn't believe it, and just kept reading more and more about it and everyone's guesses at what it was.

Way to bring up a very old topic.
Trim breaks are your enemy, retracking/smoothing is your friend. I miss b&m floored sit downs. coaster count=39

Like alot of you, I started with building thing with knex and other stuff. But even before that I loved trains. And I think its easy to see the similarity between trains and coasters. But, the focus just on coasters started on my 5th birthday at a small family park called Knoebles. It was me and my dad who stepped into the front car of their wooden coaster: Phoenix. When I got off I was amazed. 2 or 3 years later I was convinced to go on their steel coaster Whirlwind. I was too scared to go on but I worked up the courage to go on. And from then on I would go on anything. But what really made my coaster obsession kick in were the rollercoaster games. I first started out with Sim Theme Park that I got in 1st grade. Then in 2nd grade I got Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. After around 2 years of playing RCT2 I was basically what you could define as "addicted to coasters". I started going to bigger and better parks; starting with Hershey Park and then Dorney Park. In 5th grade I got Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 which I loved at the time. Then, during the summer when I was 12 years old, I had the most important coaster experience of my life. That was going to my first Six Flags park. When I was little I would see those old commercials of Six Flags and imagine how amazing it would be to go there. So my dad surprised me and there I was at Six Flags Great Adventure. It was like heaven for me. And my first ride at a Six Flags park was a very important thing for me. So, there was no other ride that could fulfill that space other than the great Kingda Ka. The moment the hydraulics kicked in will be a feeling I could never forget. Around the middle of summer 07' I got NoLimits and has been perfecting my abilities ever since. I am limited to coaster rideing every year due to money restraints but I try to get to at least 3 of my main parks: Knobles, Hershey, Dorney, and SFGAdv. SFGAdv being the big trip that is mandatory(lol) every year(cannot ever get enough El Toro and Nitro!).

I became a coaster fan the first time I went to Six Flags over Georgia. I was 16 years old. My first coaster was the Mine Train, not much of a thrill ride(except the final drop), but it was a start. One thing that made it more enjoyable was that one of my friends was afraid to ride the rides by herself, so I told her I would ride with her. While I was helping her into the car, I happened to look in her eyes and really noticed her for the first time. I asked her out a week later and we dated until her parents moved out of state about a year or so later.

It was later on that day when I managed to talk her into riding the Mind Bender that I really became a HUGE coaster fan. It's also the first coaster with an inversion that I was able to get my son to ride. He's looking forward to going back now, because he's tall enough to ride Batman the Ride, and Goliath.

I became a super crazy coaster fan when I went to Six Flags Over Texas when I was about NINE years old! hahaha it is funny because I learn stuff with coasters better than I learn stuff at school.

I became an enthusiast when I was very young, too young for me to remember. I remember going to theme parks every year, and got really hooked with roller coasters when I was given RCT1. Now, I have gotten to the point where I know more about coasters than I do about mostly everything else.

Disneyworld in Florida when I was 3. I rode Goofy's Barnstormer and I loved it. Then I rode Beastie at Kings Island when I was 4, and that's when I really started liking them

I guess I always have been coastermaniac, ever since I got to play Rollercoaster Tycoon. Too bad though that I live in Finland, so no great coasters here.

My story begins on my discovery of Top Gun at Kings Island. I had never visited that area of the park there. Poking out of the woods was that fire red track of Top Gun. It wasn't very big, and the only coaster I was willing to ride at that time was Racer. Once I got on Top Gun, I never wanted to leave. In fact, I rode it about 7 times consecutively. My love for them grew further with my first rides on Vortex and Beast on the same night. In fact, my first Beast ride was it's infamous night ride. It was simply put...extraordinary.

i'm not busy with coaster so long, for about half a year now.
when i went to walibi world, Netherlands. I went on El Condor and most important that day, Goliath.
that was a great experience because the best coaster i went on before that was Robin hood.[V]
anyway, in May 2009 i'm going to london with my dad, and of course thorpe park.
i hope that the new ride will be finished in May.....

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away.... but seriously, my father took me on a mine train coaster years ago, and it scared me bad. a few years later I hit a big coaster, and that was all I needed.
