Buncefield Oil Refinery Explosion, December 2005.
I live half the country away and I could see the smoke

I wasn't awake when it happened, but the news said that the explosion was heard in Holland. When these things explode, they explode pretty big! [lol]

Was that in a city too?

I always find is amazing how cities will let such obvious hazards be built in the middle of them.

That was awesome as hell. I loved how he was like holy I Love You! x2. I woulda been like DUUUUUUUUDEEEE that was Ha-Ugggeee. Mini Mushroom cloud ftw. I mean i know propane is pretty explosive, a canister on a grill blew up the side of a house in my town like 6 years ago. Pretty crazy stuff but there must have been so much there. Thousands or millions of gallons if you can call it that.

The Oil Refinery Explosion happened in Hemel Hempstead, just outside London, it was in Herts if I am correct. It wasn't a city but it is quite a large town.
