As Some of you may know, i took a day trip to SFMM on Sunday. It was a beautiful day with sunshine, few guests, and 78 degree weather [:D].

btw, i know i am not the best photographer. I have VERY shaky hands.

Driving, Driving, Driving, Driving... #9835;

More Driving...

Image

I spy an X2 from Magic Mountain Parkway!

Image

The cars were literally all the people in the park...

Image

I decided to buy a parking pass to go along with my season pass i bought a couple months ago... 4 visits would pay it off, and especially come in handy if i go up to SFDK this summer...

Image

Scream and Colossus!! To bad Colossus was not operating today... [:(]

Image

I stand by ACE plaque honoring Revolution since it was the first modern looping coaster [:)]

Image

Revolution needs a paint job. This was my first ride of the day. I must say, it was running extremely great today. Very smooth compared to the summer, and the brakes were not really turned on [:D]

Image

Tatsu!

Image

More Tatsu!

Image

Even More tatsu!

Image

After riding Tatsu a billion times, we decided to head over to Ninja, the black-belt of all coasters!

Image

Ninja lift motor!

Image

We decided to go up into the Sky Cabin, to get some great pictures. I did not know there was a museum up there, so that was fun. An even cooler surprise, is i ran into Jeremy T from NL-E and Coaster Philosophy. My Mom, Jeremy, and I took a photo inside a replica Colossus car! I had a nice long chat with Jeremy about coasters while my mom looked around at the great views.

An old chain from a roller coaster up in the museum

More old parts up in the sky tower museum

Image

I am in a Scream seat!! [:D]

Apocalypse has a very fun and twisted layout.

yes , i can tell you about those pictures.
the original mascots were a wizard and three trolls named " bleep , blip , and bloop" they ate "fun" to survive, but unfortunately there wasnt any .
so they created magic mountain so that they could have food.
there was a miniature train kind of in the area where goliath is now , that went to "trollywood" where the trolls were. there was also a full sized narrow guage railroad.
the small swartzkoph wildcat was called "mountain express" it was where flashback ended up .
the miniature cars were on the track where the looney tunes old timey cars are, i'll find a scanner and show the picture of me driving them in 1973 when i was very very little ( like 2-3 years old, but suprisingly enough i actually remember. particularly the gold rusher and jetstream) .
trivia.
there is still one troll left in magic mountain. if you look at the exit for the bumper cars you will see him .
the station for ninja was originally the top station for a transport ride called "the dragon;'which was just a 4 seater dragon shaped car that went up and down the hill. if you look under the ending lift on ninja you'll see the other station . it made it easy to get down from the top of the mountain where magic pagoda was to gold rusher and jet stream. before 1981 when roaring rapids was built there was no way to walk under the jet stream. the best bet was to take the funicular up to the top of the mountain and the dragon down the other side if you were headed towards spilkin corners or goldrusher and jet stream .
the monorail used to stop in a tunnel under super man and there was a steakhouse.

the giant sky wheel looking thing was where swashbuckler and bucanneer are.
