Ehh, I just take a long time to produce a track now.. I'm finally finishing up High School, got my first job, and have moved about an hour away from the two of those. Everyday I come home exhausted but still find 15 to 30 minutes to work on a coaster. I'm just busy, not losing interest. I have noticed the slow-down lately though, I blame the cold weather.

studying MechEngi is just as hard as I thought it to be, running a draft doesn't take much of your time, but I have to put all my creative energy in solving calculus and mech problems.

I wish I had time to build a coaster. But between a full-time job and school directly afterwards I do not have time to make a new coaster. Perhaps over Christmas break I will.

I'm too busy lately on building a coaster. Plus the motivation is very low atm. When I have started something the inspiration goes away or the motivation when the layout is complete. xD So many unfinished tracks... -_-''
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)

I have like 2 major projects I'm workin on right now and one smaller one which I hop can be released in the next week or 2.
I think it would be easy to get motivation if we did a like "Guess The NL Coaster" contest or something. Idk how it would work, just popped into my head. I also have like 100 unfinished tracks that are like horrible, lol.

i got a coaster coming along soon. Streamline, you know. I had 4 days off from school so i finisheed trackwork then, and started working on the station 3Ds, but remember, suport work is always a total B****!!!! the ride will be out in the next couple of weeks or so, but school is starting to really pick up so... yea. thats my story.

EDIT: Another way to get coasters up is to get interest when somebody posts a coaster in the Hard Hat Area in the forums. It seems like nobody is getting interested in the coasters that people are trying to get out there (cough cough Streamline cough cough). Lol, just kidding, but really, it does make people lose inspiration for there coasters because they are under the belief that there coaster isnt good. Try that, see what happens.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

i think asaa is right there, thunder ridge and time fluX really are moving along at a snails pace, because i just don't have the motivation to do them and people aren't helping with that. To the hard hat area!

^ thank you, its not very often i come up with something smart. lol. For those of you who may be interested, I will probably be posting a new update on my coaster Streamline either tonight or tommorrow morning. The trackwork is complete, I am working on a new 3D station, and support work has started, again. For those of you who suck and use prefab supports, try real, custom supports, those will grow some hair on your balls. lol

Contrary to my earlier comment, I'm not JUST lazy. The one theory that I can come up with is that all the people who used to upload loads of coasters (like myself) are reaching the age where there are much more important things going on. For myself, this happens to be a girlfriend to please, a fairly gruelling engineering design job to hold down, a part time HNC foundation degree in mechanical engineering to complete, an NVQ level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship scheme portfolio to complete, the feeling of distain towards the idea of sitting in front of a computer in the evening after 8 hours of sitting in front of one at work during the day and the constant battle of trying to find some time to have a break from all of the above.

On top of all this, as time goes by, the more and more detailed I like my rides to be, like for example, if you look at Doomsday Machine????????? well, that speaks for itself, and the ride that I'm currently trying to get motivated to do has even more detail than that! So, there we go, it?????????ll be another year probably before you see my next ride!

^ agreed, but, i do think a lot of the reasons people don't put out coasters is the lack of care... Most people never even reply to tracks being advertised, and we all know we would love to know what people's thoughts are... My track, Cora, has 2 replies... both from good friends of mine... Pathetic! for people to show interest in building rides, they need others to show interest in the ride as well. OH , and we all know how hard it is for someone to actually rate a coaster... Like I've said many times, people on this sight complain and frown upon the noobs, well, maybe we wouldn't have so many noobs if you rated there damn tracks. Noobs won't improve if they don't know how... Lewis13 and I are the only two guys I've seen who rate the noob tracks and give them a chance... Anyways, i'll stop ranting.... SOMEBODY COME UP WITH A CONTEST IDEA!!!

Yeah, I have almost no time lately, with school and all...
But I am working on like 10 projects, and I've been working on some of those since spring...
1 or two might be finished wuite quickly, if I get time....
As for the contest, yeah, I think this site really needs one...
There hasn't been a contest sinc the Turney, if I'm correct...

PS: if you're needy of a contest, you can come over to C2k, and join the one that's currently running! [:D]

Right now I'm working on a multi-looping hyper. I'm just waiting for testers so everything is right before I start 3ds and supports

i have this woodie currently titled "Thoreau" which i have been working on for a couple of months. i really, really want this one to turn out how i picture it in my mind since it is my favorite design by far.

it's a terrained out-and-back with a few twists and turns (nothing ridiculous) to keep it entertaining.

I do know my own motivation is good, but not for finishing coasters. It's not the lack of motivation, but more the need for perfection. I start building a coaster, but it's never the quality I would like it to be.

The only coasters I finished where for a contest.

Look, I understand I'm unknown for the most of you, so I do understand it when people are not going to rate or comment on any of my coasters. But what I do notice is that not only the comments or ratings are minimal, I also noticed that the downloads are going down as well. Maybe it's just because my last coaster sucked, but well.. 60 downloads is not much, compared to the 200 plus I got with the earlier uploaded tracks. Or is this a sign that CC is getting less crowded? I notice the forums aren't _that_ active as well. As mentioned above, the TopHat area could use a little more activity. I don't know how the other users feel about it, but I know I mostly only post in the active topics that are shown on the frontpage. Maybe it's lazyness..

But then again, the good months have passed now. Summer has passed, themeparks are closing and the long dark days of NL are coming. I guess it's like the rest of the world. It has it's ups and downs..

@Jayman ( on previous page ): With all due respect, but isnt it supposed to be someones own opinion how they rate a track? I for myself don't like Bobcoasters tracks. That's not because I don't admire him for putting so much time in the track, track lay-out and supporting, but just that I don't like his way of building. I don't agree with you on this one.

But I must admit you got a very very good point about the old days. I know, in the early days everything was better, just like my dad used to say. But, do understand that rides in real life get crazier as well. Check out the newer Intamin designs, Gerstlauer rides and even the Steel Hawg. It's not only in NL where the tracks keep changing and changing. You will notice it in real life as well.

You also got a good point on the "Then the whole "x brandname coaster company" wouldnt make a turn like that or.. on "____" the ride doesnt do that" comment. I guess that's something why people keep on building exactly like a real life builder and don't try to do something new. If you try something new it either get's flamed or it's super dupah cool. And maybe the most just don't try to take the risk to get flamed.
