yup. The official color is like a royal blue with some purple in it. They've started to paint the helix and about half of the first cork was painted.

EDIT: could just be primer

I was lucky enough to get to gadv this season, and it happened to be on the last operating day! Sales were EVERYWHERE! I got tons of coaster stuff, shirts, more, all 80% off! I suggest going the final day of operating seasons if people can make it there then!
Heres a pict of the sign,

and also one of the track...

Just about a month after opening day. Not bad.

I think it looks decent, even though it looks like primer, but yeah I can't wait to see what color they use for supports...I hope it's neither grey, white, tan, yellow or black.

The blue is most likely primer. There probably going for a darker color. Its gonna be interesting to see what they do with it. I'd be glad with some better ride ops for it. It had the worst ops the the park. Every other ride had very good ops.

its not a primer!!!! when have you seen blue primer and if it is then what is the point of them using the white primer first over all the espoused steel.

The supports are going to be painted red.

Its funny because superman ros is getting green supports and purple track and medusa is getting red supports and blue track. The two rides preety much traded colors and flipped them around![lol]

I think it's great. There's nothing wrong with blue and purple. It's nice and shiny too.

Also- over at GADV.com people have confirmed that the name is staying.

No, not kidding, I dont have hard evidence but the people who went to eastcoaster say the names staying, its on the 2009 GA pamphlet already. . . over at ga history they have one and are going to post it some time tonight. . .

And

Just got texted from Eastcoaster, it is remaining Medusa.

Picture updated!

Anyone see things in the helix area?
Im assuming thats where the "water" effect will go.
Also in a picture, it looks like the fire effect will be at the base of the diveloop.

it's remaining purple then [:(] it is, however, nice and shiny! that i like, shiny coasters look better than not so shiny coasters (no s**t!)

Not a fan of the blue after learning to love to lime green/yellow...hopefully the effects make up for it...I mean after all it's still a great ride even if the colors look like garbage.

I met and spoke with the guy in the picture, Mr. Chikola. He's the head engineer of all of Six Flags. Nice guy...if you don't like the transformation though, don't be too mad at him. He's the guy that originally came up with a basic El Toro layout including the twister section within the borders of Rolling Thunder. Thus, he's a good guy on our side lol.
