There is no such things as a bad inversion. Only poorly designed ones.

^ word. I like everything, just some more than others.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

yeah I think Viper's inversions were pretty fun lol. The transitions between them were the problems...the first inversion wasn't going fast enough to be painful, and the hangtime is fun, and the second is smooth. Those turnarounds, especially the last, are pretty killer though haha.

I was never a huge fan of the loops on Arrows... I don't like how sometimes they can push your head forward and down because of the tight quick transition near the vertical point, and you can't bring it up til after...it isn't a comfortable feeling to me. So I'd say, though they're not that bad, those are probably my least favorite inversions...thing with inversions is that if they're too fast then they're lots of fun, and if they're too slow you get hangtime which is also fun. So generally unless they're painful, they're at least a little bit of fun, unlike say a drawn-out camelback with no airtime, as you'd get on Rolling Thunder.

i think my worsty inversion (and i hate to say it, RIP corkscrew) is the corkscrews on corkscrew, whatever way you slice those corkscrews were painful as hell! even if you did manage to jam your head to the side it would still be forced into the middle then as you were trying to get it back again it'd suddenly release and you'd whack your head. [:(]

I don't think I have ever had a bad experience with any iversions except for possibly the boomerang on Sidewinder which really wasn't too bad IMO...my dad thought otherwise though...-sigh-...

^^ WHAT?!?! They are the best part of Colossus, the hangtime is awesome. [:D] The worst inversion i have ever been on is the cobra roll on Boomerang at Pleasure Island. Its just a really poorly maintained ride, and that happens to be the roughest part of the whole experience.

That must be the cobra roll on La Via Volta, Walibi World, Netherlands. The backwards part just plain sucks. I hate it.

I'm gonna go ditto on the boomerang thing. The worst inversion I ever experienced was the cobra roll on the boomerang coaster at Geauga Lake. My head's never been banged around so much, not even on Drachen Fire.

IMO the Rollover at the El Condor @ Walibi World is the worst inversion ever, think becouse of the prototype model, couse at newer intalled SLC's it hurts far less

I oppose. You haven't ridden lochness at BGE. The loops are heaven- Smooth as glass. In the middle you get a bit of floater on the first one. In the back you get a bit of pullover the top action. The entire ride is smooth as glass in the back (which is unusuall).

At that part where it goes from tilted-strait, to tilted-turn you sometimes get a small head bang in the front.

On the other hand though, flashback at sfne has a horrible kink in the cobra roll when you enter into it where it bangs you head a good 3 times on each side. so just stay in the middle and you will be fine otherwise YOU DIE!!!

You may see the little kink at the top on the right.
(this was the only pic i could find that was good. It happened to still be at its previous home in this picture)

"Inclined Immelman" from that crappy thing at Dorney. What a poo excuse for a loop.

The loop on superdooperlooper at Hersheypark. I know Schwarzkopf liked to make his loops a little on the round side, but still... ouch. [B)]

I disagree Sobek. I think El Condor just sucks donkey balls. When it's dark it's a pretty cool ride, but still rough. But then it's worth the ride. In daytime it's not. Those restraints are stupid and smelly. The same for La Via Volta and Express. Dirty smelly restraints. Well, I dont know about you, but I don't want to bang my head against a dirty, smelly restraint like 20 times for one ride in El Condor.

Kyle Sloane, I've ridden Loch Ness over 80 times...more than most other coasters I've ridden. Of those 80+ rides, most of them were in the back car, though I have ridden all around, including the front row numerous times. Might want to ask before making a statement that's false like that ;)

Loch Ness is a smooth ride for an Arrow, but, especially toward the front, I still don't like the transition into the upside down part of the loops too much. They're not that bad but like I said, I don't really dislike too many inversions, so for me Arrow loops are worth mentioning. I like some things about them, but if you're in the front they can be uncomfortable for me.

Yeah I forgot about how I disliked the one boomerang I've been on...SFOT's. I saw the ones at SFNE and Hershey and skipped them, but had time for SFOT's when I was there. That's a pretty bad ride, as opposed to say Deja Vu which is similar but which I consider quite awesome.

You must have a really low pain tolerance if Arrow loops bother you.

uh... anybody here ridden Viper @ SFMM!?!?!? That whole ride is just a headache. I came off of that ride and had to sit down from so many damn had slammers.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

Wuss. Shockwave was the badass of the Arrow loopers.

I'd have to say the corkscrews on Mantis. They always have my head rattling all around and the ride is just a man hater [xx(]

The worst inversion I've ever been through is, surprisingly, the second vertical loop on Demon at Six Flags Great America. Usually, the vertical loops on Arrows are relatively smooth, but on that second Demon loop, I got a good smack to the head. Not very pleasant. The worst looking inversions I've seen are on a lot of the Chinese SLCs. Those things look like they were designed on RCT3 ;) .
