Not sure if any other staff members have posted this but I think its long overdue.

Topics such as the "I like how..." ones are getting very annoying to see. People complain that CS is to strict on rates so they come here but complain that they dont get rates. Its simple, CS forces you to rate 20% of your downloads. CC forces you to rate 0% of your downloads. The two sites are very different in that respect. However, complaining is annoying on both sites.

If you dont rate but you expect rates, there is a problem somewhere. If you do your share of rating, you will get rewarded with ratings.

There is no "right way" to run a site around ratings. CS has their way, CC has another way. Everyone can say that this is wrong and that is right but there is no perfect way to run an exchange that works around rating. There are too many variables to consider.

Now if your here because you dont like rating 20% of your downloads like on CS, STOP COMPLAINING! We cant help you if you dont rate your fair share of coasters.

To those of you who think rating is hard, here is an example you can use:

BT: Nice smooth track. Supports looked ok. Might want to add some to the lift hill though.

AD: This ride was nice and smooth but a little on the longer side. Had speed in places but was really slow in others.

OR: This type of coaster has been done lots of times but you made a few changes to it by adding more effects/elements. The long ride though did hurt you a bit.

BT: 8 AD: 7.75 OR: 7.50 Score: 7.75

See that? Your ratings dont need to be long and in depth to be valid and honest. If you use that example rating but tweak it to the ride you rode then your done. This can even make you a better builder if you can rate yourself. (Dont do that on the site though.)

Ok, that said, I dont think anyone wants to see these topics (about rating, not rating, bad ratings, ect.) anymore. Its an easy thing to do.

If you think a ratings numbers dont justify what was said, PM the member. Dont make a topic about how much the rate stunk. If you dont get an answer form them, THEN it is time to contact the staff about it.
