According to MSN news, The third largest retailer in the universe will be liqidated and all 597 stores will cease to exist. Personnaly, I do not give a flying chuff that the store is closing, its dirty, poorly stocked (last time I was in there, I seached the entire damn store for one item) and LAME! I am so glad it's finally gone! JOY TO THE WORLD THAT CURCUIT CITY IS DEAD!!!!

has it occurred to you that all of us with the internet have the same access to such platitudes as you do. when you're sitting at the kids table have your own conversation and let the adults have theirs.. [}:)]

I actually liked Circuit City. I never felt like any of their salesmen were trying to tool me around like at Best Buy.

I hate Circuit city. At least the one near my house. Usually everything is more expensive at circuit city, and harder to find. Could honestly care less if they are closing or not though.

CC has ceased to exist about the last five or so years in Omaha and the surrounding areas. It really is a shi##y place to shop.

Mine was nice. Pretty high-class feeling. It was always cheaper than bestbuy.

Does anyone know if the online-store will remain?

Everytime we go into a recession or depression, it's gotta come back eventually. So, if you buy stocks when they're low for not that much money, you'll be gaining a ton when they raise.

Such as GM, it used to be at 45 dollars a share early last year. If they get they're butts in gear and do great with the Volt or whatever they have up their sleeves, it could be back up in the 40's in five years or so. Then your $1,000 dollars turned into 20,000 dollars. Or your $50,000 (if you're crazy enough to risk that much) turns into $1,000,000!

If you play it right and do some research first, you could place money in a very great company. Like google for instance, people that put 1,000 dollars into that when it was nothing, then it went to over $700 dollars a share! And then they have millions of dollars.

The same could happen now because stocks that go down are going to come up eventually, unless they finish completely. Which is the risk part. So invest in those up and coming clean energy companies and you never know!

I went to my local store and look at the sale prices. HA! Stuff was only 10% off. Hardly a liquidation sale.....
