Welcome to the NoLimits Monthly Awards!

This year marks the start of many new things for CoasterCrazy. The CoasterCrazy Awards, an all-new forum system and site layout in progress, and the NoLimits monthly and Yearly awards!

Every week, the top three roller coasters will have a chance to become monthly award winners! The twelve roller coasters will be placed into a topic like this one, and users will vote for which coaster they enjoyed the most, giving us three top coasters for the month. Contest roller coasters will not be eligible, as they are not eligible for weekly awards.

So... without further ado, select your pick from below! And check out the rides before voting as well!

Mauler- Jakizle
Mesmerize- tiepilot35

Widdow of the Woods- RCT-3-Crazy
Speed v3- nono-land
Sleepy Hollow- A7XandCoasters
ROAR- Austin
Impact- jdclga
Brullen- DBru
Sicyos- ccc15

Voting Will End February 5th, at 10 PM Eastern Time.

Whi, the 'whi, I'm more populair' contest starts again. Montly is about the best rides in a month, so highest rate should win IMHO...

How convenient of a solution for you this month, huh?

This seems like more of a fair comparison than the ratings, since you may get lucky by getting easier or less experienced raters on your ride, but with this system everyone's comparing every ride. I do, however, think the rides should be listed starting with the higher ratings and going down.

*ok cool man, just checking :)*

Yeah, I got Lewis13, Gerstlcrazy and Vid_w all saying the ride is superb and as far as I know they are no noobs or something :)

Gerstlcrazy, the only one to rate both rated mine higher. Also I kinda wonder how my ride can get higher rates without being better :S

This is a way to fight the power of the emo raters club.

People will roll in their graves if Lewis13 or tiepilot wins ANYTHING in this lol.

Because that is subjective based upon only one person - however credible he may be. This incorporates the opinions of everyone, including those who are less inclined to rate but will have equally valid preferences.

Ah well, I just hate to see my hadbuild ride lose from a tooled ride. Once you hate tools, you'll always hate them :) xD

I like seeing the better ride win :) I'd also hate for a handbuilt ride win because it's handbuilt...be a man, don't advertise your building technique and try to get that sympathy like a lot of people do, and deal with the feedback good or bad.

And just because a ride is made with tools doesn't mean it took any less effort to construct. Using tools kills the unnecessary and unrealistic smoothing time which gives designers more time to perfect their shaping and layout. Using tools does not mean your ride is better than any other, as seen by all the "tooled" rides in the last year that generally look exactly the same as the next.

To be honest, Mauler is one of the few that has been released where the designer uses tools to his advantage, rather than just using them because they're easier or the ride is smoother. If he beats you, it'll be because his ride is a better quality in the eyes of those who voted, not because it's tooled.

I thought Aquatico was an amazing coaster! I really loved the elements and it was so unique! Good job Lewis!
Oh, were you expecting something here?

ROAR, Widdow of the Woods, and Mauler are all the best of the 12 in my opinion. Is there going to be three winners every month, Austin? Gold, Silver, Bronze, obviously...

I'm guessing there won't be, but there will probably still be three award winners weekly?

Right now yes, the plan is tooo have 3 winners everymonth. Also, in coming months users may be able to vote twice, we feel it will give more accurate results, because this way, one track that's incredible gets so many more votes than the second/third place tracks, as you can see happening already. We'll try that next month and see what happens, and see which we like better, and what you guys like better.

Edit:

Just about an hour left, place your final votes now!

Congratulation's to Mauler by Jakizle for coming in first place. Mauler will enter the competition for best roller coaster of the year, and a platinum award, at the end of the year.

ROAR - Austin and Widdow of the Woods - RCT-3-Crazy tied, but because Widdow of the Woods had a higher site rating, RCT-3-Crazy will get the second place trophy.

One little kiss and Felina goodbye.
