How do you make them? Anyone have knowledge to share?

Practice, skill, talent, and experience. Or straight geometry.

uhm lol,

Just make a straight section and add a 360 degree twist.

If you want it angled just add a curved geo section

I don't currently have the means to test this as the moment, but do you happen to know if it would work to make a curved section with a very long leadout and very short leadin and twist that instead? So it rolls from the start like it does on, say, Hydra? As I said I haven't tested this and probably won't until I actually need a jojo roll, but it seems like it should (potentially) work. Discuss.

I tested your suggestion, and it works quite well. It's a good idea, BUT I think that the idea is used better in reverse so that you can turn out of the roll and not have an awkward banked straight section before the turn like straight geometry sections have.

Don't want an awkward transition after the roll. Not necessarily building one at the moment, but I have tried and tried in the past and it is something that I haven't really gotten the hang of. Something I may need to try is adjusting my lateral zones since I keep them at zero 99.999% of the time. Thanks for your input though. And boneplaya, might just try that. Seems like a pretty good idea.

Maybe I wasn't clear, but you can't tell me that you haven't experienced this before...

It's kinda awkward between the roll and the turn. It's just more exaggerated in this video because the roll is huge.

well, the way entropy does it is stupid. I would use a MZF to make the turn.
