So the train would stop 2ft from the station and everyone would walk on the catwalk to the station? Sounds like a travesty.

And you think the general public would consider going on the ride again even after an incident so simple and harmless? Alot of the GP are already reluctant enough about roller coasters. Most people I know wouldn't take a second look at a ride if one tiny thing went wrong.

^^ On a school fieldtrip to dorney the power went off for 2 hours and people got stuck on lift hills and brakes, but after the power returned they went back on again
What are these for?

Sorry for the delay guys, I've been busy with a school project colliding with other school subjects.

On a second note, the no-friction-tyres-rule will be lifted. This is because it was very vaguely put in the rules. As a result, Emerican7, CCJared101 and Dirk_Ermen will not be DQ'd.
Again, the reason behind this is that I made a mistake by not making that rule simple enough for a 8-year-old and I don't want participants to DQ because of my mistake.

On a third note, since only 23 valid tracks were send it, only 16 people will advance to round 2 and the final will be round 4 instead of 5.

On a fourth note, round 2 will start March 1st. It is not impossible that all of the ratings won't be done in time. I will have posted the list of people who will advance by that time, but the ratings themselves might not be ready by then and they'll follow later.
If you have send in a track, it will be rated.

lol, where's unfortunate_smiley? This is the sixth year in a row now that the winner of the NLT hasn't shown up to defend their title the next year.

2003: whitewolf2759 - won, but withdrew after Round 1 the following year.
2004: bockzilla - won the tournament, then missed registration the next year.
2005: Buster - won, then disappeared for two years afterward.
2006: dcs221 - won, then didn't sign up in 2007.
2007: ish - had the highest-rated track, and then disappeared completely a month later.
2008: unfortunate_smiley - didn't sign up this year.

It's the curse of the Coastercrazy.com NoLimits tournament!
Runaway like little girls!

i had an idea earlier...
What if someone made packs with every track from each round of every CC NL tourney... That way, the tracks would be easier to locate in the future...
Maybe we could even have a section under Exchange, just for tourney tracks?

Huh? I don't remember putting any friction wheels in. I do have a lim brake tho... Or is that the problem?
I'm glad I'm not DQ'ed for it, since i didn't even spot that rule [lol]

Well, there is the "contest winners" page, despite the fact that it hasn't been updated since December 2005.

Yeah, too much of a time killer for me to reenter...especially since I'm working on several rides of my own. More important for me to get those done than to fill up a couple months of rushing to get rides done that will inevitably be of a lower quality than the rides I'm spending my time on. Cool contest but my interest is elsewhere :)

What are you complaining about? You got a rate. I haven't gotten any yet. Not even by double-posting it over on Coastersims... one download and zero ratings in three days. Lol, and I thought this site was dying. [lol]

It's because me, Jimmy Yoshi, and cjd aren't members of the emo rating club.
