There has been rumors going around that Six Flags St. Louis will install a new water ride for 2010.[V][xx(] Seriously? This park, also my home park, is getting a stupid Wahoo Racer for 2009, this park needs some serious thrills, because the last few years, all they have put up is a bunch of family rides, not counting superman. Tony Hawk is a family ride, and Evil Knievel isn't meant to be a thriller. Give me some examples of what you would like there. I personally would LOVE to see a Goliath put there, or any megacoaster or whatever.

I went to SFSL last year and thought it had a nice ride collection. EK was an excellent addition, and you've got a fantastic John Allen ride and good CCI back there. Six Flags is long past its "serious thrills" phase, so I'm afraid you're going to have to deal with the "actually turning a profit" phase now.

At least you have a home park, and it's a nice one at that.

No way will I forget my favorite ride in the park. I just mean it should get somthing like a Goliath (that would be the best thing since Mr. Freeze.)

Okay you have
*3 badass woodies
*A Mr. Freeze (badass)
*A Batman (badass)
*Drop tower
*2 family coasters
*A weird Arrow (kinda but not really badass)

That's the best rounded out collection of rides in the entire chain.

You guys have gotten two roller coasters and a drop tower in what 4 years? That ain't bad at all.

My home park is SFGAm and all we've gotten is a wild mouse, family area, and then a wild mouse inside a building. In the process of getting all of that we lost Deja Vu. It's like SFGAm is the only park with separate 2 wild mice. I wouldn't call that "all we've gotten" since it's a lovely park, I'm just saying things could be worse.

Six Flags St. Louis got Superman: Tower of Power in 2006, Tony Hawk's Big Spin in 2007, and Evel Knievel in 2008. Those are some pretty thrilling rides. While I think they could all be considered family rides, I also think that SFSL has been getting a lot of great stuff lately. I don't see why this topic was even started. After getting 2 coasters in 3 years, I would not be surprised to hear that they were getting a water ride. At this point though, 2009 hasn't even kicked off fully yet, don't pay attention to rumors for 2010.

Yea, Evil Knievel and Tony Hawk aren't thrill rides, Knievel is a moderate ride and pretty fun in my opinion, and Hawk is a family ride. Superman is awesome, but almost every park has one. I mean like a big coaster like Goliath or Nitro.

I found Evel Knievel thrilling. And I agree that Tony Hawk is a family ride, but we have gotten a lot of nice additions in recent years. I know a lot of people really want a hyper and that would be awesome, but for now just be happy with the great collection of rides there are at the park. Money doesn't grow on trees, you know.

Serious thrill? Boss. Haha, be thankful you've got something as intense as that [;)]

Those aren't always the best kinds man, and the rate of large hypers being cranked out by the industry is coming to a slow steady flatline. I wouldn't get your hopes up, unfortunately. B&M probably has a few more Megas up its sleeve, at least, but the park's gotta have room! Wait and see!

Yeah I seriously doubt anything from B&M is gonna be more intense than the Batman clone you have or Boss.

The park actually owns a large amount of land to the east of the storage building and hurricane harbor, plenty of room for a terrain hyper coaster. I still seriously doubt one will be coming anytime soon though.

EDIT- Here is a photo of the estimated park boundaries:

Yea, it's not in the favor of getting one right now. Especially not in this economy. Heck, if that's all of the park land, Six Flags could double the size of the park. That land will probably be unused for the next few decades.

Either unused, or more likely sold to give SF a little help.

Yeah you guys got boss, what else can be said. I went on that and got a headache, and loved it. That has to be one of the best woodies out there and it would put most any modern thrill ride to shame. There are times when you just can't beat a good ole' woodie.

I think you meant:

A messed up Batman that's subpar to all the other ones.
A horrible Vekoma
A drop tower in which many accidents have happened on that type of ride except only 1 gets publicized because of injuries.
A awesome LIM
A great Arrow
1 Horrible Wooden Coaster (Boss)

It's not that bad of a park, but I do say it does neeed something better. The reason you add another wooden coaster when you have 2 already is based on how much cheaper they are than anything steel. Tony Hawk is a cheaper family ride also.

This park got the used Evolution, and the used drop tower. It's no surprise to me that they are only going to give you 2 water rides in a row. I wouldn't be praying for anytime soon getting a Goliath (He's Shapiro, and he says no more Goliaths.), a X, Top Thrill Dragster, Nitro, or even a Tatsu.

I think the best possible ride you could get could be a ride like Hydra (Why a Floorless? It's a much smaller model than other rides at only a 100 ft in the air.), or Steel Force (Morgan's are cheaper rides.). Well, there's always a Euro Fighter to wish for.
