Its been a long time since six flags great adventure got a ride that was a newsmaker ( the last one being eltoro in 2006) What do you think they should get next year to keep them alive?

I can't see them going too much longer without another wooden coaster. Although with Green Lantern this year I don't really see them being in the coaster market for at least another year or two.

A long time, are you kidding me??? you just got a B&M 7 inversion stand-up coaster this year. You could be Great America, where the last good ride we got was in 1999.....

2001 - 2012 in a nutshell for SFGAm:
2001: Deja Vu and Vertical Velocity
2003: A goddamned B&M
2004: Zamperla spinny-doo
2005: Incredibly large very good waterpark addition
2008: Wild mouse in a box
2010: Family wooden ride
2011: Addition to the waterpark that reaches the capacity law almost daily
2012: A goddamned huge B&M

They filled in the family gap, which was sorely needed, with 3 low intensity roller coasters and built a gigantic waterpark. Just because they're not catering to the 14 year old little bitch market doesn't mean they're not doing anything.

You're also being a tool. Deal with it.

Can we pleeeeeaase ban Jonny? I honestly can't stand it...

Btw, I think it will probably be another few years before SFGAdv gets another newsmaker roller coaster like El Toro. But who knows, they could surprise us. SFGAm and SFMM sure have surprised me recently.

Great Adventure is already getting a Starflyer for 2012. I dont see a coaster for quite some time but a Dive or Wing-Rider would be nice to see there. Hell, make it both so Great Adventure can have every B&M possible.

Holy fxck! I cant believe El Toro was 2006, that's absolutely flown by!

I would honestly like to see nothing. Im sick to death with these parks in the states building awesome coasters, i've lived the past 7 years of site membership with un-real jealousy seeing these awesome coasters come and go... :(

If i have to pick i would like to see an invert to be honest. A giant one like Montu. I'm still yet to find a thrill worldwide with the same savage g's and an original layout. That BatWing is insane.
So yeah, fxck Batman, i know its a classic but everyone is bored of it! Build a massive Invert!

Jonny, Green Lantern only has 5 inversions...not 7. Therefore, they definitely need an Intamin giga with 2 inversions next year to make up for what you thought we already had. I think that would be fair.

SFGAdv. doesn't really need another coaster for a while in my opinion...
Oh, were you expecting something here?

Im saying they need a new UNRELOCATED ride brand new. The last one was eltoro and its dissapointed that in 2009 all they did was repaint medusa and add theme and act like it was a "whole new coaster" and green lantern " a brand new, fresh out of the box coaster" As if it really meant something. Until they get a DECENT COASTER ( green lantern was too painful and very predictable) i wont be buying season passes for a while...

Dude, seriously? Have you seen Dorney? And you're getting picky because SFGAdv got, what is considered by some, one of the best stand ups in the world, and hasn't had anything earth shattering since 2006... SFMM is the flagship, and while they were desperately throwing coasters at SFGAdv, I think Six Flags is going to be smart and fill in the corners where they're lacking - like their pathetic collection of flats.
Also why would they get another B&M Hyper if they already have one? If anything, I can see them getting a wing rider in a few years, depending on how X Flight goes. Probably a clone of X Flight, actually.

X-Flight clone would be bad-ass @ Great Adventure.

@ Coaster_Hero, be thankful that Great Adventure is the park it is. Dorney as Simba said is way worse off. The last original thing we got was in 2005. The last original thing GAdv got was in 2011. Chang/GL may not be new but its better then both rides that got sent to Dorney combined. (Although I do prefer Demon Drop over Dominator, the minority, I know.)

Chang or whatever they call it is new to anyone who doesn't know how to use rcdb, who is a far more important demographic to Six Flags than you guys.

Yeah not even remotely a clone. It's like calling Griffon and SheiKra clones, or Montu and Afterburn.
