I've decided to ditch my other track and design a new S & S Compressed air launch coaster I've named Air. Its partially styled after Dodonpa, but will be extended to be the longest air launch coaster yet.

It has a 0-101mph launch in about 2 seconds.
It will also be the tallest air launch coaster at around 315ft.

Progress

Launch- Done
1st curve- Done
Figure 8- Done
Brake run- Done
Supports- Done
Cartexture- Done
Scenery- Done

TRACK NOW RELEASED!

What kind of coaster are you using? I'm using the 2 seat hypr but keeping all the track 2 rail to keep with the thrustair track.

What would you say about -2.5 lat g's on a high speed turn? Its only for a split second and i want this ride to be forceful. But not painful.

Wow, that is REALLY weird. I was making a ride with the EXACT same proportions about a week ago. 101 mph launch. Based off of Dodonpa. Roughly 315 foot top hat. I ended up giving up when I made a turn with 2.5 G's lol. Well, I hope you keep going.

Oh and btw, 2.5 G lats is probably too much. Though not really dangerous, it would be very painful especially (I think) with those cars.

Good Luck.

Well i'll try to fix the turn, but plenty of real rides pull that many lats anyway.

This coaster is like Dodonpa in the sense that it has a turn before the hill, but it has a Hypersonic HLC style hill. It will then have a fast paced curve into a figure 8 after the hill.

Uhm... No. Every recent steel coaster has about 1g lat MAXIMUM, and that's still a lot. For a woody i'd say 2g lateral is fine. 2.5g as a spike, maybe but imo still a lot.

Try to keep steelies under 1g lat. It's hard but it's worth to try.

Question:

Do compressed air launched coasters have cables pulled by compressed air, or does it have compressed air pushing it? Or is it different than that?

Haven't I already told you that double posting is pointless and wastes space? Yeah, it's a cable I believe
