i am a proud libertarian, but i do not belong to ANY political party.. your limiting it to 2 choices irks me and is a perfect example of what's gone wrong! i voted, i regret nothing.. and i'm armed....

good, then you can pay my extra taxes for the next 4 years. we just saw the executive branch of our government take over two major private corporations without so much as a shot fired. i'm not fond of a leader that tells me i'm too stupid to look after my own damn self ...

I don't agree with 100% of what the new administration is doing when it comes to dumping money into private companies, but the question was if I regretted voting for Obama. Knowing what I know now, I still would not have voted for anyone else on the ticket, just answering the question.

There's a difference between what Obama is trying to do and nationalization though. Right now the administration is loaning money out in hopes of starting up the capitalist lending machine again and hopefully getting the money back...eventually. Nationalization would mean putting the entire banking system under government control, getting rid of companies like AIG rather than keeping them afloat. Whether they're getting it right or not is up for debate at this point obviously, and I'm not even sure exactly where I stand on every issue.

I voted for Obama... I don't regret it, yet. He hasn't been in office for very long. There is a saying for trumpet players at University of Akron... "If it works the first time you try it, get rid of it!" I believe the same in this case. Some people thought Obama was going to get into office and everything would be fine. Just be patient!

I still don't even understand what everyone is so upset with him for all of a sudden.

Given the amount of money that has been given to said bank and auto companies I'd say it's somewhat justified. Yes it is somewhat scary that the government has the power to do this, but given the current situation, action had to be taken on these companies so that the tax payer's money was actually going towards restructuring and not bonuses.

If there was no intervention and the bonus thing happened again within the auto industry, people would be going after Obama for not doing enough. It's a lose lose situation on his part.





It is too soon for me to decide if I have regret for supporting and voting for Obama. Too much has happened in the short time he's had office and we're still in the process of the administration having a reaction to it....I think it would be more fair to decide this after some type of resolution (or lack there of) to his first major issue has taken place.
