"Coraline" was pretty damned good. Incredible animation, and it was actually pretty creepy.

The Dark Night is the only movie I can think of that is a must see. Other than that, most of the movies out right now are not worth the money in my opinion.

Yeah, Schindler's list was good. As is the Pianist if you like that style of movie. You should check out the first two Alien movies. They are FANTASTIC!

The Wrestler is the best new movie I've seen in a long time. I already loved Daron Aronofsky, but after only seeing it once I think I can say it's my favorite of his movies, if not then it's tied with Pi.

^i love that movie. i originally saw it for the "shock factor" as well, but after repeated viewings, i discovered how much more is really there.

on the other hand, i recently saw When a Woman Ascends the Stairs which is absolutely stunning.
i also saw Violent Cop which is a totally crazy and flat out weird Japanese version of Pulp Fiction.

i don't think you can find those at blockbuster though...

but um, they do have Brazil which is genius.

Best films out there in theaters right now: Knowing, 12 Rounds, Fast & Furious. I could go into a list of movies that are already out on DVD but I have a lot of favorite movies so it would be a long list.

Yeah, there's something about it that makes it so much deeper than it appears to be on the surface. Like the chair scene....it doesn't look to be anything more than a couple of rednecks breaking a chair...but when you really think about the anger/aggression behind it it's pretty depressing. I don't think it's a movie that I'll ever forget, that's for sure.

Have you seen Kids? Written by the same person...That one's a bit more clear cut in it's storyline (and a damn good one at that) but is equally depressing.

One movie that has an amazing true story behind it is Changeling. I recommend everyone to watch it.
