I have decided to leave re-creations to a time when my skills have improved and I have a better understanding of design styles, I also need to see and ride the ride in person from now on to ensure I get the views and perspectives I need. In the meantime... Kronos.

Named after the Greek Titan God of Time, this roller coaster will try to achieve an olympian (bad pun intended[:p]) feat:

The objective: Build an original Roller Coaster that combines both Hyper AND looping elements into one track.

Pictures will come once I am satisfied with a track segment.

I would like this one to at least resemble a B&M design, so any tips and pointers on what they do are much appreciated. And thanks to all who downloaded and rated GASM. Given the nature, this one might be a fantasy ride.

Current progress:

Track Layout: DONE
Track optimization: In progress
Heartlining: Not started
Scenery: Not started
Supports: Not strarted

no no no no, bad bad idea. Pics now, believe me, if you dont post pics now, you will make a huge mistake. You're still a beginner at building so your going to need us to help you determine layouts, shaping, blahdy blahdy blah. Just trust me and dont wait until the track is done to show us pics. Could cost a lot of time.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

Well look at Flickstah thinking he's gonna tell him what choice to make [dunno] ...Dude, lay off, it's his choice and I don't know if you're exactly the one that ought to be delivering those comments...

OK, fine. You want pics, you got 'em. (Linked for bandwidth)

Lift and First drop:

Overbank 95*:

Sidewinder (Not heartlined yet):

The sidewinder will transition to a vertical loop, followed by a dive-loop.

So far, she runs smooth as a board, with Gs never exceeding green range.

I think I've found my de-pumping strategy. It involves finding a vertex that pumps, splitting the segments in front and behind it, deleting the pumper, smoothing the track where it used to be, re-inserting the vertex, and removing the split-ups.

And as many of you could wager to, always de-pump the track BEFORE you begin heartlining, and NEVER heartline until you are 100% satisfied with the shaping.

*Ugh...*

After a week of work, I FINALLY got that sidewinder Heartlined the way I wanted it.[B)][B)][B)] I despise AHG's vertical limitations now. The only way to create my ideal inversion was to effectively remove AHG from the equation where I didn't want it to be... EXACTLY.

Effectively, I have split the generated heartline in two, AFTER the tool presented its work. I'm amazed that I managed to do that without any negative effects on the track.

We're back in action now. The next step is to implement the sidewinder smoothly into the base model, then we move on.

Pics tomorrow, I'm tired.[|)]

EDIT: I have finished the basic track layout now, but that's only 1/5 of the work I have to do... still so much more that needs to be done.
