IMHO, There is no such thing as a dissapointing coaster, every coaster (yes, even TOGO coasters) have their own perks.

saying a coaster is dissapointing isn't saying its bad, its just saying that you expected more from it... There is such thing as a dissapointing coaster.

my most dissapointing coaster was BATMAN:the Dark KNight at sfga
they kept hyping it up to be something it really wasn't-and to make matters worse was that i went opening year-the line was almost 3 hrs! luckily i paid and got the flash pass so i really didn't have to wait THAT long for it. i must give credit when credit is due though the pre- show in the queue was very well done.

Mammut at tripsdrill was a real let down for me. I didn't expect a thrilling ride, but even a vekoma kiddie is more fun to me :S

Shockwave at Kings Dominion. It hurt like hell, and completely sucked, therefore... disappointing.
Just keep scrolling...

Demon at Six Flags Great America-I can't see why everybody seems to love it. I mean...OK I'll give them that the scenery and tunnel lights are cool, but the loops are whiplash-o-rama, and it's just WAAAY too rough!

^ well, yea... its a rough ride, not too much fun, but i found it kinda fun to be honest. Basically the tunnel in the beginning was kinda fun, and then (to be honest) i really like the corks. The most dissapointing was god***n vortex @ PGA. that is so painful...
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

My most disappointing coaster was Xlerator. I rode it hoping to be blown away (even though I had ridden TTD many a time before) by the overbanks, but they were so forceless, it was actually rather boring.
Also, MF after I rode Maverick for my first time. Coming from the craziness and unstoppability and ejector air on Maverick to the meandering, wide turns, and floater airtime on MF really let me down.
There's also Mean Streak...
And the newly remodeled Space Mountain at Disneyland. I thought the revamp really took the nostalgia away from the original wildness of the whole thing.

Superman: Ultimate Flight. I was so looking forward to riding it because it was my first chance to ride a flyer and it was during the flyer phase of design but after the pretzel loop, it might as well hit the brakes because the rest is so boring. Ironically, it replaced my former largest dissapointment Shockwave.

I sooooo agree with Batman: The Dark Night at SFGAdv. I wish they had just kept Batman and Robin. Even though I knew what was to be expected with that kind of ride being put it, coupled with the disappointment of losing The Chiller it was just that much worse. As for big coaster, Son of Beast no doubt. I rode it its first season and everyone was saying how cool it is and I couldn't help but think "Well I just didn't like that at all."

Demon is a relic from the golden age of roller coasters. AKA the "we'll make the G forces strong as balls but you won't die" which was a step up from the previous golden age which was "it's a crapton of G's but you're going to the hospital".

The "whiplash" loops are frigging beautiful, and all you really need to do is just brace yourself a tad.

I REALLY REALLY miss Shockwave because that ride was a positive G force machine.

Also, Thunderation? Seriously? You really think a family coaster is going to have crazy air or something?
"Careful man, there's a beverage here!"

i def agree with air, i mean, at first it was like OMG, then atfer two rides i just thought, wow, i swear this used to be ten times better, but it just had no forces, and i found myself trying to like it, but it just bored me :(

Air definetly. Rita aswell for the queue time. While we're at it, Oblivion is dissapointing aswell, seeing as it is literally, just the "vertical" drop and then an over-banked turn. Think it's the height restriction at AT that let's the rides down (all but Nemesis that is ;)).

For a first ride ever on a coaster - Raging Bull. Complete...crapness? So lazy, trims really destroyed that ride. Not the first, but the mcb...and the second trime...

For a ride Ive already been - MF. Apart from the drop and ensueing pull up, absolutely Minimum Force. Virtually no air, from any seat, any time of year, or day. And no positive G's either. If I was tired enough and could recline, I could go to sleep after the drop.

Nemesis?!? It's an amazing ride!! Not quite "Best ride ever" but it I certainly am never dissapointed when I ride it. Especially if you chose your timing right and get to it when it's queues are really short and move quickly.

Oh I feel the need to make an addendum to my post... Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFGAdv (and I guess the others, but I can't speak for them as I haven't ridden then) is kind of a crap fest. Yes, it's fun, but in a pretty "this is a novelty" way. Not to mention it is almost never worth the wait, which is frequently at least an hour and a half.

My second greatest disappointment was Sheikra at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. I've never known a ride, that is in theory travelling at high speeds, feel quite so sluggish.

My greatest is Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park. By far the weakest B&M I've ever ridden, and also seemingly the most forceless.

You guys, didn't you look half the rides you complain about? Sheikra, Rita, Xcelerator? I mean, some of these are just turns to begin with...How can they be disappointing?

I had higher hopes for Montu. I enjoyed it, but I'd take Silver Bullet, Raptor, Alpengeist, Great Bear or practically any B&M invert over it. I just remember it being so much slower and forceless than I thought it would be.

Like almost everyone else has said, Meanstreak. It's got a cool layout, but it's hammered by Trims, MCBR and it being rough as hell. I wish we could know more about what GCI was doing when looking at Meanstreak, because it has the potential.

And lol, whoever said Demon at SFgam was dissapointing...haha. Well, how can you even overhype a ride like that? A small, two loop, two cork ride? How do you even hype that? I find it to be a small, fun ride. And it recently hasn't been a head banger at all.
