Okay, so now that I started using Newton a little, I thought that I would start making my first okay wooden coaster and first finished recreation using Newton. So I started making Ghostrider at Knott's Berry Farm. It seems pretty accurate so far, and I think that it is okay. Also, this doesn't have the turnaround after the station. I will make that after I make the rest of the ride.

However, when riding this coaster in real life, I remember that there was a lot of negative vertical G's on the first drop when riding in the back, but I was unable to recreate that. If you know how can you please let me know? I have a few other questions too. Is there any place to find the hill heights of the coaster? Also, I downloaded wooden coasters that have the supports from the support generator, then have added custom supports. When do you put custom supports?

If you want to download it, here is how it is like so far, please download and offer suggestions if you can!

Just some advice, I would PM jayman for help with this re-creation. I am sure he can help you in many ways.

I think you are trying to way over-complicate the ride...most CCIs are made up with just circles and straight sections.

If screaming like a little girl and closing your eyes the entire time could be helpful

^^ what do you mean by over-complicating the ride?

You don't really need Newton to do it; CCIs are basically parabolas, pullouts, and a few turns (Use HSAK if needed).

Oh, ok then. It was kind of hard to make it how I wanted with Newton anyway. I'll stop making Ghostrider for now, because I just want to get good at Newton right now. After a while, I'll do some hand-built coasters. I don't want to make all coasters with Newton, although they are smooth and you can control the G's, because finishing hand-built coasters feels more rewarding than finishing Newton coasters. However, if can answer some of my other questions like about hill heights and where to put custom supports, that might be useful for the future.

IMO, don't use tools for recreations, especially if you use Newton. There are exceptions like if you're exceptional at using tools, like Jakizle [;)]

If you need help with the shapping, I can also help. I have ridden GhostRider about 40 times sofar, in every seat, so I know the layout pretty well, as well as the general forces [:)]

You could make the entire ride, extremely accurately, just using HSAK, bowdip, and bowhat...you just have to be good at splicing elements up and putting them together correctly.

All of a sudden you have me wanting to do another CCI :P.

I should also mention the turns don't really exceed 40* about. There are only a couple points where the forces reach 0 laterals on the track as well (the dip in both of the turnarounds). The rest of the track is lateral filled. Oh yeah, and the forces also gt up around 3.5g in the bottoms of the hills.

Jakizle, where can I get bowdip and bowhat?

IF you have aim, I can give them to you on there. If not, email me.

^^^^ Actually I said that I am not going to make Ghostrider just yet. So, maybe when I decide to make it, you can help me if you want. I was just wondering if there was anywhere where I can find hill heights, because I looked everywhere and couldn't find them, so I just guessed.

^^ And according to Knott's Berry Farm's website, Ghostrider has 42.5* banking. And I agree that there were lots of lateral forces on the ride, so that's why later when I make this I won't use Newton, it makes the ride too smooth.

You can easily accomplish this with HSAK and Purg IMHO. Everything in the ride is perpendicular from the top and there are only vertical or horizontal angles of the track.

HSAK would be a terrible idea, just like Newton. The way to go is what Jakizle said.

The real pain comes when you have to support...

Good luck with that.
