Is it okay to make curved 4-seat inverted coaster LIM transports?

Well, technically speaking, nothing like a transport or brakes should be curved but it depends. Will the lims launch it or just moce it along? This is my opinion though and i am new at nl to.

It just moves it along. I know you aren't supposed to make curved LIM sections, but I have heard before that it depends what type of coaster you are using. I am making a B&M inverted coaster right now, so I was wondering if B&M inverts were one of the coaster types that could have curved LIM sections.

If its just transporting it than i guess it wouldn't be too bad. But i would use transport wheels insted of lims, but thats just me.

Never mind, all curved brake and LIM sections are bad, I'll just use friction wheels.

You can use transport wheels on B&Ms, but they generally arent used on the inverted coaster models. But on the B&M Models with curving transport sections that i have seen, they only turn a very slight radius. The wheels were also offset on the track to avoid damaging the braking pads on the trains.

As far as lims go, Many B&M Hypercoasters use lims as their inital braking method, and i think Silver Bullet uses lims also.

NO CURVED SECTIONS ON ANY B&M! That it a big no no in technical. You will get so much [stoning] with that.

Yes, Silver Bullet uses a magnet. LIM stands for Linear Induction Motor- an electro magnet that is used to propel the train forward/backward. The ones used for braking however are just permanent magnets. For B&M's, only on hills, nothing that turns. Intamins could potentially have brakes on a turn, but they just use transport wheels on a block as a brake. A good example is Xcelerator.

^No, build the coaster so that it does not need transports on turns. I have yet to see a B&M that uses a kicker wheel on a turn.

what about a transport going into a vertical launch?

Well if you're building a fantasy ride, you may as well just use transports anyway.

Vertical launch isn't too much of a fantasy right? It can be done.

but if they out of nothing presenting a new vertical launch tomorrow, suddenly everyone builds it as a realistic B&M ride.
Just look at when maverick or TTD we're presented[:P]

New ideas can be just as B&M style as long as they are wel executed.

^*Intamin style* [lol] Those are both Intamin, who is known for having ideas outside the box. B&M just sticks to the things they know typically.

I remember something in the past that B&M said never to build a launch for their rides. The launch on The Hulk is build by the park itself, if i'd remember correctly.

I mean "if" they build it, btw companies often do something after they said they would'nt do it[:P] I just think that you can be realistic while using not seen before elements.

No, B&M wouldn't ever do it. Probably one of the reasons why B&M's guys pulled out of Intamin, because they wanted to be innovative.

Intamin is very innovative. it was intamins idea when they were building those classic stand up coasters, B&Ms designers just help with the design in terms of f physics.

lol doesnt mean they cant design the track and let someone else do that part (coughhulkcough)

I dont see the big deal with WHERE these kicker wheels go. They are kicker wheels. They can go virtually anywhere.

IF you want to curve your lims, it can only curve upwards, as the fins on B&M inverts are positioned vertical.

Nemesis has a curved transport section leaving the station going into the lift
