Jersey - smells really bad in Newark. I remember pulling in a rest stop there once and my mom asking what that smell was....and my dad just said "it's New Jersey." I've been to Clementon too which didn't smell but was really ghetto.

You realize those are literally the two WORST places in Jersey. Clementon is right in Camden and Newark is Newark. Go to the Jersey sure or Ocean/Monmouth County. Those are much nicer areas.

What he said. Here in ocean isnt bad at all. The reason those areas smell are because of all the industralization and stuff.

The people are the primary problem , the crapholes come with them. All people I've ever met from Jersey have an attitude.
"Careful man, there's a beverage here!"

I have to agree with New Jersey. I visit there pretty often as of late and everything about it's bad. I come from an area where we use respect and courtesy. I'll just list the number of bad things about NJ

1. They don't believe in signals for lane changes
2. They have a bad attitude and don't hold doors for anyone
3. The police are a lot worse than most
4. The roads are the worst quality I've seen
5. Wal-Mart's close early
6. You can't pump your own gas
7. You can't throw a dead cat with your eyes closed without hitting a lawyer [lol]

1. True
2. Not all have bad attitudes but the holding of doors is baiscally none existant
3. Depends on where you are
4. True
5. True
6. True, remeber when this was put in place
7. Gota try this, lawyers office down the street.

I live in NJ my whole life and know what everyone's talking about.

Dude...you want to LEAVE Long Island...Long Island? Do you have any idea of how good of a place you are in? That is one the richest, the nicest, and most suburban places places in New York!

I want to MOVE there!

But I want to go to VA. or N.C. more! Any advice? Which of the three?

I currently live in VA and am pretty content with how it is here. Other than here, the only place I would want to move to is Long Island, which is where the rest of my family is.

Yeah, almost ALL of my family is in the north, New York, New Jersey, and one my uncle's live in Vancouver. I got one uncle who lives in FL...but he lives on the other coast to the far south of the Penninsula.

Also...the North is where all the good stuff is; the mid-west and East-Coast! So if I move to VA or N.C. I will be closer to the rest of my family, be in quite short driving distance of park's (when I get my license...), and be closer to most of you...won't that be something!...[:p][;)]

The weather in the tidewater area really get old though. One day in February it can be 85 degrees and the next day it can be 45 with snow. It doesn't make any sense.

I'm in Illinois, and I would really like to move to (or go to college in) Pennsylvania. It seems like a good state overall.
