where are all the contest

so i have been so bored, and was wondering if anyone has any contest templets, old and new that they could upload
maybe just for fun or for a contest, something to make the holidays more fun

Actually I kinda had been working on an idea for a template (it would be just for fun, I think).
If I uploaded it, would I have to make a thread for it too?

^Yes you can make a new topic, but remember to have 2 vital things:

- Clear rules and template

- Explain judging method (none, judges, judgement by player, exchange rating)

I'm guessing exchange rating is whoever gets the highest rating wins, but what is judgement by player?
In my experience, I don't like picking judges or even judging/hosting, but at the same time I think I like my idea for a template.
Also, what do you mean by "none"?
Also, I'd already started making my own roller coaster using this template, not having ever anticipated the possibility of making it a contest template. I don't think it would be fair to host anything while making an entry too.

None - there is no judging, contest is purely meant as a challenge to create a coaster that fits the rules/template

Judgement by player - Each player must rate (or score) all the other players. This can be done blind to prevent downrates.

That just about sounds right up my alley.
Do I still need to seek approval for un-official contests or could I just go ahead and post whatever relevant thread?

You do not need approval, but if the contest is poorly set up, no one will join. You can always PM for advice.
