I'm at Corkscrew at Valleyfair this summer:

Pay Rate: $7.75/hr
Benefits: none, well, free admission to Cedar Fair parks, but I don't think that counts
Union: nope
Park: Valleyfair

"Company orientation" was 15 hours that we got paid for, maybe 4 or 5 of those were at the ride, plus another 3 hours or so of practice at the ride before opening day.

Since this is about ride ops, and i was recently looking to see if there was ride op job infor at gadv on the site.

Questions about interview-- what kind of questions did they ask you? Also, did you get to pick the area/ride you wanted to work or did they start you at the bottom[kiddie rides] and worked you up. I wouldnt really want to the operator..more like attendent..checking restraints etc etc

If your pay rate is affected by PIC time please include both rates. Not sure what you mean here. We just get a straight pay.

Pay Rate: $7.13 (First Year)
Benefits: Free entry to all Cedar Fair LLP parks and other parks in the region which include Hershey Park, Dutch Wonderland, DelGrosso's, Knoebels, Morey's Piers, Clementon Amusement Park, the Philadelphia Zoo, andLake Compounce.
Union: Not sure if we have one or not.
Park: Dorney Park & WildWater Kingdom

Please describe how much training time you received before being placed on ride.

1 Month

I have also been transferred to the Wild Mouse and Thunder Canyon. For those I got a quick 1 day training while working as a sub on these rides.
