So I was strolling around Curry's Digital, and I saw this and thought "I want!" then I noticed the price of the thing!

?????????70,000 for a TELLY!
If you can afford to pay ?????????70,000 for a TV, then you're not giving enough money to charity [lol]

Seen a more over-priced item?

Definitely a typo lol. Love how it's hooked up to what can't be more than a $200 sound system too.

But uh....I saw a pair of these at my local hifi shop 2 weeks ago, marked down to $10,000 (from 14). And they're in the middle of the line that they're in (IIRC the most expensive ones in that line are $22,000/pair)

Wow... Is it high quality/performance? That's still too much for speakers.
Just keep scrolling...

Those are just the most expensive I've seen in person (although I think they might have had the higher end ones on display too, but I didn't really look) but you can spend a LOT more than that. Needless to say I go right to the sub-$1000 section when I look at stuff lol.

I wondered if it was a typo, but it said the price in more than one place, so... I can only assume it was correct.

It's not like it was THAT big either, I know it is a Plasma TV, rather than LCD, but it was still only 103". For ?????????70,000 ($120,000), I would expect 103ft rather than inches!

Oh that is the 103"? Then I guess it's not a typo. Those are built for orders I believe.....No one actually stocks them. I believe that goes for $70,000 over here too so you guys are getting ripped off lol (although anyone spending that much on a traditional TV and not a front projector system thing deserves it).

...$135,000+ (depending on finish)/pair

These people have some really nicely priced speaker cable for those speakers too.

[lol] I love this comment at the bottom of that page as well:

"Made in the U.S.A. for superior quality"

That made me lol.

And Freddie, that is the story with everything, I see a lot of things for sale where the ????????? sign has just been changed to a $ sign, the numbers are the same. It sucks big willy, but that's the way it is. Cars are the worst for this.

Yeah, I know they do that with cheaper things but you'd think when there's a difference of almost $50,000 they'd adjust. Either they're losing profits here (which wouldn't be surprising, who has $70,000 for a TV) or you guys are getting ripped off big time.

it's the latter, trust me [lol] companies know they can get away with it here just simply because everything else is expensive as well.

Hasselblad H3DII-50. $26,995. Or you can lease it for $1000 a month. Cause, you know, you just need to print pictures the size of buildings with it's 50mp sensor.

You could capture a very high definition pair of titties with that.

Then print them the size of a wall in your room and use it as wallpaper.
