Installing NL on new computer?

Is anyone aware of how this is best acheived?

I want to take NoLimits of my desktop in the study and put it on my new laptop so I can use it around and about.

I've had a little look, but it clearly isn't as obvious as simply copying your NoLimits folder from one computer to the other

Actually copying the folder did work for me but you're gonna get asked for your user credentials again.

can you just un-install it, then install it on your laptop and re-register it? I think that works.

dj is correct. I just did it like this the other day because i've misplaced my setup file.

Copying and Pasting may or may not work. I know that works sometimes for other programs, as I have done it my self but I've never done it with NoLimits. However, if I remember correctly the NL demo is actually the full game, just not unlocked. I would say your best bet is to do the following.

1. Download the NL v1.6 demo + the v.1.71 patch from here: http://www.nolimitscoaster.com/Download/download.html
2. Install the NL v1.6 demo
3. Enter your code/email to unlock NL v1.6
4. Install the v1.71 patch

I'd suggest to do what I've done for the future.
I have the 1.6 install, the 1.71 patch, and my license (in a .txt) backed up on a CD.

^ doesn't work, because it appears you can't simply register your copy, but you have to purchase the link tpo a completely serparate download, unless I'm missing soomething?

The FREE demo is the full version, just not unlocked. On the main bar at the top of the NL editor in the demo, under 'Help' there will be an option to register.

It's possible they changed it though, but that's how it use to be.

It now just says "Buy N the full version", which takes you to the webpage to buy the thing.

Ohh, well that's really lame. I wonder why they changed it..? Much more convenient for someone to just enter in the code after trying out the demo rather than having to download the whole damn thing a second time..

Last time I tried copy and paste everything worked fine except for the trackpackager. I ended up having to re-install no limits.
