so yes, i havent been uploading lately. i kinda got lost this past year with my last year of school and all. but lately i have been trying again, and i think i have something worth uploading when im done with it. i was sick of building these stupid massive layout coaster, so i went with a smaller, more classic feeling woodie. only just over 100 feet, and i think its pretty cool so far. i want to also go all out as much as i can with this coaster support wise. i want to make a support station, good custom supports like i did with haggard, my last ride. i just want to have fun with this one.

so far, i have most of the layout built. its 100% hand made, and i did it in a couple ours last night while i was also watching everyone else argue on the site. quite fun to watch actually. so im almost done with the layout, probably about 85-90% done.

now for anyone who will actually look at this, i have some pictures.

that is a good idea, but my initial drop is a little steeper then it looks. that and it wouldnt be hard to go back and change it, but i like how it looks right now. its pretty cool now! sorry man, good idea though. maybe my next one will be steeper.

EDIT: yeah, i think griffon might be right. if not steeper, its pretty damn close.

Just looks at Bobcoaster's Clipper out and back coaster for correct drop steepness.

Jenson, the first drop didnt stick out to me. It was the normal air hills. Millers are almost 40-45 degrees up and down. Yours look more like 30-35.

Minor detail. Depends how your ride would still track if it would be worth the trouble. Might produce a little more air. tighten the layout some, who knows.

yeah, i made this randomly last night, and i dont know where this millers ride came from, i never made it out to be based off that. this was more of just a random ride i wanted to build, cool5 started with the millers stuff, haha. but most of the hills are about -.3 to -.8. you think that seem ok real?

and cool5, i appreciate your trying to help, but there isnt a "correct" steepness man. every ride is different. im not going to copy bob's coaster, im making my own.

I was just commented on his picture incase he didnt mean the first drop :P

Old style rides are so vague...and so little is known since we only have a few rides to go from (well, for a few of the builders)

That seems good. I think that you could almost go more extreme depending the type of ride you want to portray.

^ bank the turn a little maybe? i like the layout so far, it was kick ass up until the last turn around. It would have been cooler to turn a little further so it stays adjacent to the rest of the structure. Then again, the way your station is position, that would have been impossible to do. Things looking good man. glad to see you building again.

Oh god here we go again... lol

Anyways jensen, i'm just saying that it would have been kool to stay adjacent to the rest of the layout and then hop the station. But i don't know what your speed is, or how much longer that would make your ride. Seems fine like it is.

thank you goudly. thats what i was thinking but i didnt want to start a topic like lewis's last one, haha. XD

and yeah, i get what you were saying mike. i dont htink that had enough speed to jump it. if you were online last night like you said you were going to be, you could see the finished layout, haha. XD

but yes, layout is 100% done, and now im going to be working on a support station and custom supports.

thanks man, ill try to finish it soon. probably bring it to your house later tonight to try and get some poop done. and what do you people think i should do,should i have the sides boxed in all the way around that turn like i do in the last picture, or cut it off there and just keep doing that cover? that was one thing i wasnt to sure about.

anyone have anything they want to ask or add to this? colors changes, other custom support structures? opinions are welcome.

I don't know if it's just the picture, but the wood looks a tad on the green tint side. I'd also say to make the cover all the way through the turn.

as for the color, im not sure, but it doesnt really look green tinted to me? maybe my computer, im not sure, haha. i think im going to work on the colors a bit more, haha.

and yeah, the cover will go all the way around, what about the the handrails? should i have it the way i do up the lift go all the way around that top turn too?

Haha maybe a more natural... Coney Island Cyclone white?

As for the handrails. I'd keep them how they are on the lift until the drop actually starts. All this is personal opinion though.

alright cool, ill look into the colors. i normally dont have the official colors to my rides until right before i upload, haha.

and thats what i was thinking. i think it would look more finished going as far as i do with the cover with the rails.

thanks man, opinions are what i was looking for!
