I would like to see more creativity in creating a really intensly themed atmosphere for rollr coasters. Basically more coasters like nemesis, black mamba, or expedition everest.

meanwhile . i'll agree with gerts on this one .. rides like gasm and steel phanthom, and the great cci coasters.. .. technology is such that they'd be pulled off much better now.

what if coasters use tracks like these on the screamin squirrel to jump?

http://www.rcdb.com/ig2942.htm?picture=6

but still it would be very very very hard and take losts of money.

other than that i would like to see more coasters like desert storm where there are rides and walkways above below and around the track making for more rides in a smaller space.
i put the laughter in manslaughter!

[lol] Dragon Kahn, then mirrored and put on top of itself, looks cool, probably some collisions though!

I would probably like to see a coaster where there was two sets of rails, and one of the pairs of rails would be set at different heights throughout the track. This set of rails would have a set of wheels that followed it on a rack and gear type arrangement that would make the seats of the coaster rotate head over heels depending on the vertical position of that set of rails.... or have I already seen that somewhere?.... [confused] [lol]

a track with one spine a set of rails on the top ansd one at the bottom, put a inverted train and a sitdown, so riders can pick what kind of trains they want,
i don't thnk it could be very forcefull but think of family rides and i think i looks cool t see top trains following the same track at the same time

^ the supports would be ridiculous and heartlining would be a bit impossible, but nice idea!

magnetic!

Back in end of high school me and my physics teacher began to (thoreticaly) design a *maglev* coaster

We had 3 types, my fav, but i still dont know how plausable in real life it would be, is a ball-cage car, floating above a bob-sledge coaster type track...
it was jungle themed
it was magical

Launched woodies and inverted spinners sound fun, but what I want to see is a Strata-coaster that starts with a top hat, but then goes over a more normal layout, instead of just slamming on the brakes.

Um, I'm pretty sure GG has a launched woody design and Intamin did make a few coasters with a top hat followed by more track layout.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

I also thought about this as well. Think it might be very interesting to look at from a ground observers point of view, though the riders on both trains might not get to see each other much- unless the track were to split and do some fancy turns about one another.

You can do nice things with track splitting[:P]
A piece of tracks where the inverted train is hanging above the sitdown train, that would be fun:P

A launched woodie is an idea I've been looking at for my own purposes. I've been thinking about it, and I've been meaning to ask some more knowledgeable people, so here it is. A weight drop launched wooden shuttle coaster. Does it sound possible?

Once I was looking at pictures from a rollercoaster concvention and I saw a frequent faller design. I would love to see a real one of these like the one in roller coaster tycoon.

could be done, would have to have a straight section beforehand that would stop any roll action. Cars would need suspension to deal with the impact and there would need to be a long guide section to get the wheels back on the rails.

Main problem I can see would be the impact of weight distribution over an articulated train, (e.g. if everyone is at the back, will that cause the train to bend?) and what happens if there is a large shock load at the front, how does that affect the rear, will it bend up or whip back down? Probably would be best for single car or single jointed trains.

Something like X, but more like a flyer, in B&M style. It would switch back and forth between an inverted coaster position and a flying position. In the flying position, it'd do things like a pretzel loop, twists, etc. In the inverted position, it would do loops, Immelmans, corkscrews, and other elements.

I'm still hoping that one day there will be a coaster that will have 10+ seconds of sustained 0-gravity air.

I'm also hoping for bigger flying coasters with better train designs that actually make you feel like you are flying high through the air rather than just sitting in a tilted inverted coaster seat.

Also, I want a floorless coaster with some freaking airtime! I mean, floorless coasters are like the perfect coaster type to make airtime feel like you're floating through the air, and yet not a single one has tried it yet. And a floorless hypercoaster would just be plain amazing. Come on, B&M, PLEASE?

Kraken has good, real airtime in the zero-g-roll and on the hill before the last tunnel dive.

I'd like to see all GCI's have about 20ft added to their total height and have the lift steepened to accommodate the added height. Then they'll have balls and won't suck.

The only time B&M messes with air time, is with Hyper coasters. And thats because they have nothing else. Other than that, its just inversion, after inversion, after inversion.

I would like to see more Premier launched rides, and not just the same layouts we've already seen.

would like to see something with more interaction. something with individual pods which allow pith, yaw and roll control during the ride.
