Eh, I would seriously get sick of animated people. As I mentoned in a previous post, dummies that were basically ragdolls would be cool. To see them go over hills and have the arms go up and feet move and to see stress on them in valleys would make riding others rides even more interwsting, not to mention your own. (funfunfun to forget to close the harnesses)

I would love to see the coasters be able to actually fly off the track during a crash. Again, they would become similar to ragdolls.

Im 50/50 with the whole animated people thing, Sure it'd be great to have full 3d animated people, who walk around, queue, get one and off rides, and the whole shebang of the arms flailing and screming, however, think how much time it'd take to program all that, not to mension the stress on the game to keep it a very smooth frame rate

On the other hand, as alias1236 and ianko66 suggested, having ragdolls that only are in the ride would be a more awesome idea, especially for testing purposes

^If it would came with an on/off switch, so that you can choose wether the thing would run smooth for fast viewing and slow for videotaping your ride or so. Compare it with rendering, there are also various levels of redering.

Am I the only one that feels like it's been a really long time since an update? In my mind, it can mean one of two things: 1) he hasn't done a thing with it since the last update, or 2) he's working so hard and fast that he doesn't have time for a news update. Hopefully it's the latter.

It has now been exactly 84 days ago since the last update. Thats 23% of a year.

So, now we can officially declare Ole as dead.

How about different stations? Not that ugly-ass station they start you off with, so for the people not that skilled with 3ds stuff, can have a few to choose from!

More realistic sound effects as well.

Also, the ability to see the height of every piece of your track, so you don't have to drag your finger from the height markers to the part of the ride where you want to find it's height.

Also the ability to see G-forces WITHIN the editor, while riding on the grid-track (although it would be nice to see "track-track").
"Don't be a disability"... yep, still keeping that. :P

I have THE COOLEST thing(s) they could ever add.

Pretty much making it very realistic

-Instead of just adding colors to the track/supports, adding textures.
-Having the option of making the track new/sort of new/worn down (rail marks, bits of rust in places, worn down/tattered effect on wood)
-Realistic shadows that makes it look real.
-Have less choppy seams between two things.(ever noticed that there seems to be little steps on the edges of things)
-having bolts in the wood and thick steel beams over larger spaces in supports.

It's posts like that, that piss me off. Go learn how to properply comment on something without wasting time and space and the band width that cost people a lot of money. [stoning]

Anyways, as much as it would be nice to have all of those nice things that the last couple of pages have been filled with, I just can't resist making clear that most of those things will probably, maybe, I don't know the chances, of any of those being on NL2. I just don't want all you guys to go having dreams and then when it's realesed, all your hopes get blown to bits and you come back all negative and you totally ditch NL2. I only say this because it happens alot with different things, like music and movies. I don't know how games really work, because when there's usually a long wait for a game there's usually a wide variety of hopes as to in the movies and music there is usually all one big dream.

I guess all I'm trying to say is don't give your hopes up yet. Unless he releases a new update soon that confirms all of your said dreams are going to become a reality, then I would suggest you kind of keep all or close-to-all your dreams bottled up, at least until he sheds a little bit more light on what NL2 would hold, so the fall isn't so hard.

P.S. I'm not saying don't express what you think. Just take it easy a little bit...
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice a little bit of yourself to get the job done.

The idea of making rides worn down/ semi-worn/ and new, is probably the coolest idea i've herd of thus far.

well, nobody really knows what NL2 will have, hence the outrageous amount of "suggestions", so I would advise you not to ask questions regarding what will be in NL2 until you've read the entire thread and understand everything that's already been said, rather, make suggestions about what you want in NL2. Just remember, like sapporo said, don't get your hopes too high; most if not all of these features won't be part of NL2.
