I could use some help from anyone who uses NoLimits. I installed it & it loads fine but is SUPER laggy. I have a Pentium 4 1.8ghz with 768mb of ram & a 256mb video card. I DEFINITELY had 3D support (i have other games that use it). Yet after the track loads, it ... acts ... like ... this ...

any ideas?

Does your card have OpenGL support? I'm not sure if this would even be a problem, but it's a suggestion. Second, in the NL Sim, mess around with the "advanced" settings a bit, especially the OpenGL driver one. Changing that can make all the difference in the world. It's really a bit of trial-and-error. Also, make sure you have an updated driver for your card.

Try messing with the settings turning of full scene antialize and also vertical sync, have you updated you graphics card drivers. Do you have any other software running?

Numerous things can cause it to run slow.

As of right now as long as you updated to at least SP1, Vista would not cause it to slow down. Then again with only 768mb of ram you are pushing most 3D applications to their memory limits. The simpilist, free way to try and improve the speed of NoLimits is to turn off AntiAlising, VSync, and to update your drivers (Exactly what owenjay, and boneplaya said). If that doesn't work then you might need more memory.

Yeah what exactly is the video card, 256mb doesn't really mean much if it's not a great card. Plus P4 is pretty old, especially at 1.8ghz.

Also, what resolution is NL set to?

i have had this problem many times, it is quite weired for me idk if its the same for others but some times on full quality, the sim will run on 60fps, the next time i run it, it takes ages to load (sometimes crashes and reverts to default quality) then i get 1-2 fps while riding the coaster

I know the awnser to all of your problems, get a GeForce 9600 GSO gaming card! I got it because I was having problems with the Sims 3 constantly being glitchy and the computer bluescreen-ing so I got that and Sims 3 moves like silk and so does NL.
