Cedar Point & Dorney Park to Recive new GMs in 2014

Two parks in the Cedar Fair chain are getting more than just a new attraction in 2014. Both Cedar Point and Dorney Park will receive new GM/VPs. Its going to be interesting to see what the new GMs bring to their parks.

Current Cedar Point GM and VP H. John Hildebrant has announced he will step down and retire from Cedar Point after a very long career stating back in 1969 as a ride operator. Replacing him will be Jason McClure the current GM/VP of Dorney Park just outside of Allentown PA.

(Personal Opinion Insert: Jason is a really cool guy. I have worked at Dorney for the last 4 and 1/2 years and he really cares about his guests and employees. We will be sad to him leave but, we wish him the best at Cedar Point. You Pointers are getting a very good GM.)

Jason McClure has worked at many parks in the Cedar Fair chain outside of being the GM/VP of Dorney. He has also been the Vice President of Finance at both Kings Island and Carowinds. Replacing Jason McClure will be Mike Fehnel. Mr. Fehnel has been working at Dorney since he started in the Games Department in 1994. He has stayed with the park meaning that next year he will have been with us for 20 years. Mr. Fehnel also meet his wife while working in the Games Department. He was also promoted to Asst. GM/VP during the 2011 season.

Good luck to both newly place GM/VPs in the next few years. Hopefully both Cedar Point and Dorney Park can improve their products with the new management in place. We also would like to wish Mr. H. John Hildebrant a happy, safe, and healthy retirement.
